Andrew to 'G' up Live to Dance

As often happens, Aussie stars that burn the brightest and attract the most attention from the masses ... flee to the States.

Andrew Gunsberg is set to follow in the footsteps of Liam Hemsworth (Neighbours), Portia de Rossi (Arrested Development), Simon Baker (The Mentalist) and Ryan Kwanten (True Blood), leaving our sunburnt country for the glitz of Hollywood and his Stateside TV debut.

He is already well placed to take on the role, having relocated to Los Angeles with his wife Noa Tishby.

Gunsberg will host the new CBS production Live to Dance, based on the UK show Got to Dance.

Foxtel has secured the rights to broadcast both the UK version of the show, hosted by Davina McCall, while its US counterpart will be helmed by Aussie fave Gunsberg.

This is not his first stint on the talent show scene; he was nominated for a Silver Logie after making his television debut as a presenter on Australian Idol in 2003.

Gunsberg has spent the last year exploring other passions besides television, including indulging his passion for photography with a 365-day photo project.

His debut on Live To Dance will the hit American airwaves in early 2011 and is expected to be broadcast in Australia on Fox8 later next year.

He will appear on the show with ex-American Idol diva Paula Abdul, known for her difficult on-set behaviour, choreographer Travis Payne and Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt.
