Back to You back for more

Chuck Darling and Kelly Carr, the two fictional news anchors of the Fox comedy Back to You, don't have to worry about their show getting canceled--but the actors who play them are a different story.

Fret no more, Kelsey Grammer and Patricia Heaton, for Fox today announced that it has picked up Back to You for a full season. The additional order for 11 more episodes brings the total number of season-one episodes to 24.

The half-hour comedy follows the antics that go down at a local news program in Pittsburgh. Comedy veterans and Emmy winners Grammer (Frasier, Cheers) and Heaton (Everybody Loves Raymond) star with supporters Fred Willard (Best in Show), Ty Burrell, and Josh Gad.

This is the first move for Fox on a scripted series so far this season. The network previously picked up more of the celebrity-chef reality show Kitchen Nightmares and dropped country-music reality show Nashville indefinitely.

Back to You airs Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. For more on the show, check out TV.com's previous coverage.

The first show in a long time that I find myself laughing at loud at. Maybe I have a strange sense of humor, but I love Back to You.

really? i mean, i dunno, i really do like Kelsey Grammer and even though it feels like he's playing a less humorous version of Frasier i did watch the show, but are they seriously doing this?I mean, the show feels like Murphy Brown, only not relevant and the characters are alot more 1 dimentional. I dont know how they are going to make this thing last with this rather bland formulae they are employing.I'm very surprised so many people so far are saying its hilarious or that they laugh out loud, i'm usually not very harsh either, but boy if people are already falling for it, my have standards lowered.

The show is funny, a good few laugh out loud moments, but to be honest i'd watch it for Kelsey Grammer and the sports guy alone, they're the best!

I watched the pilot episode and I thought it was a little better than average. There is no way I'm watching this over Pushing Daisies. It's not a bad show though.

I stopped watching this show after the second episode. I never got into the characters, i though it was a boring and very snobby show.

I love Back To You. I am so happy they get a full chance. Kelsey Grammer is awesome. I hate when they just axe a TV show after a few episodes.

I'm glad this is being given a chance to mature, it's good now with plenty more potential. Hopefully they'll make more use of Ryan, he's a great character.

That's awesome. I was unsure it'd last because barely any comedies are given a chance anymore, but this is great news. Back to You has been consistently funny.
