Bad boy Kyle joins Australia's Got Talent

Kyle jumps back into the judges seat on Australia's Got Talent.

Former Australian Idol judge joins Seven's talent show revamp.

He's bad, he's opinionated and he gets headlines at just about every turn. Kyle Sandilands is officially on board for the fourth season of Australia's Got Talent.

The former Australian Idol judge will now be part of the Seven stable, dishing out the advice to contestants who dare to sing, dance, juggle, impersonate and mime their way through auditions.

"I am thrilled to be joining Channel Seven -- so Australia, you think you've got talent -- I am going to be the new judge of that," Sandilands says.

"Singers, dancers, comedians -- if you have an act worth watching or think you have what it takes to be a star -- we want you. I have always been a massive fan of the show and can't wait to get behind the desk of Australia's only free-for-all talent show."

The move by Seven certainly puts a new spin on what has so far been a fairly family-friendly show. Sandilands' style is often provocative, but no doubt Seven is looking to kick things up a notch.

"King Kyle" was dropped by Australian Idol after a controversial radio stunt backfired. When he was cut loose by TEN, the network cited the move as a decision based on presenting a show suitable for family viewers. His radio image, it believed, had potentially put the show into a precarious position.

Seven is yet to announce who else is returning.

Dannii Minogue is expected to resume her role, but recent news of her pregnancy could impact on her availability. Red Symons, whose "nasty judge" act is similar to that of Sandilands, is widely expected to return to Hey Hey it's Saturday, while third judge Tom Burlinson is tipped to be replaced. Singer Brian McFadden is another rumoured name for the third chair.

Auditions for the show begin this weekend in Sydney, and continue around the country. If you think you have what it takes, and are ready for Kyle, check out www.australiasgottalent.com.au/.
