TNT is continuing its "We Know Drama" mantra with a 10-episode order for another legalese show. Raising the Bar will see Mark-Paul Gosselaar play a difficult role: a lawyer with a heart. In Bar, Gosselaar stars as a public defender trying to help out those down on their luck.
Gosselaar is best known for playing the smart-alecky Zack Morris from teen comedy series Saved By the Bell. More recently, he appeared in NYPD Blue and John from Cincinnati. Also starring in the show are Jane Kaczmarek (Malcolm in the Middle), Currie Graham (NYPD Blue), and Melissa Sagemiller (Sleeper Cell).
Raising the Bar was created by Steven Bochco, who has a laundry list of shows under his belt. Bochco was behind Hill Street Blues; LA Law; Doogie Howser, M.D.; Cop Rock; and NYPD Blue, to name a few.
TNT hopes Raising the Bar follows in the footsteps of its two current stars of original dramatic programming, The Closer and Saving Grace.

Great. That's all we need. Another law show. Boring. Can't they think up some orginal ideas.
