Big Bang's Penny Suffers a Real-Life Accident

... Actress Kaley Cuoco, who plays the adorable Penny on CBS' The Big Bang Theory, got in a fight with an equine over the weekend and lost. Cuoco broke her leg after a horse-riding accident and is currently recuperating in a hospital, where she's expected to make a full recovery. As a result of her stay in the hospital, she's been written out of the episode that's currently filming. Let's all wish her a speedy recovery. One, two, three, *wishes for speedy recovery*! [EW]

... He slaughtered Navi, sipped coffee while watching forests get torched, and was generally just a big jerk. Now the man who played Colonel Miles Quaritch in Avatar, Stephen Lang, is in talks to join the big-budget Fox series Terra Nova. From Steven Spielberg, the sci-fi drama follows a family that goes back to prehistoric times to give humanity another shot at survival. Lang would play "the charismatic and ruthless leader of the Terra Nova settlement." That sounds about right. Have you seen this guy's biceps? [Deadline Hollywood]

... In other Terra Nova news, former 24 executive producer David Fury has left the show. The issue? The dreaded "creative differences." This does not bode well for a series that I'm already geeking out over. [The Live Feed]

... Remember how Oprah gave her studio audience free trips to Australia yesterday? It's going to cost Australian taxpayers $2.8 million as the country tries to promote itself as a tourist destination on the show. [Reuters]

... Lindsay Lohan needs money, and second to doing porn is apparently hosting Saturday Night Live. The starle—actually, I think we can stop calling her a "starlet" now—the degenerate is in talks to host a December episode of the sketch show. She's already hosted SNL three times, for some reason. [NY Daily News]

... Ryan Reynolds is producing a new NBC comedy titled Mayors of Casterbridge, about four older men who band together to protect their neighborhood from being turned into a tract home 'hood. It's being pitched as Old School meets Gran Torino, presumably without the Asian gangsters. I agree that older people aren't given equal representation on television, but there's a reason for that. They're old. [Deadline Hollywood]

... Now this is a TV deal that makes sense. ABC is developing a comedy from How I Met Your Mother writers Kourtney Kang and Joe Kelly. The untitled show follows a couple who recount their lives before and after children and the differences in their quality of life. See? Bland family comedies are the way to go! [Deadline Hollywood]

... Rumor alert! Jon Hamm, aka Mad Men's Don Draper, is being considered for the role of Superman in the next movie series reboot. Please not that this is only rumor and may have started from someone overhearing someone in a coffee shop talk about how Mad Men is "like totally super, man." [Think McFly Think]

No love for Lindsay? LOL! Her career is the longest and most painful (or amusing) train wreck I can think of. I just hope she doesn't end up killing someone before she finally ODs.

I hope Kaley Cuoco is feeling better soon. The show will manage without her for a while I guess, but it would suffer if she had a long-term absence.

I think Jon Hamm would make an excellent Superman. He's only 39, thats just 3 years older the Christian Bale. Besides, I think we have enough reboots of franchises that star teenagers. For example, Star Trek was a good movie, but i felt like i was watching a bunch of highschool kids piloting the Enterprise.

That Super-Hamm rumor has been floating around for so long now, I actually think I'm the one that started it.

I haven't seen Big Bang Theory but i hope Kaley C. gets better soon. shes awesome. They should really just cast Tom Welling as Superman in the next reboot. It's not like they have to follow Smallville's story or origins...but really I cant see anyone else playing Clark Kent at this point. The show would be over anyway

Use Ryan Reynolds as superman, or Chris Evans... They are in everything... Reynolds was in Blade Trinity, Wolverine, he is Green Lantern and the Merc with a mouth in the upcoming Deadpool movie... Evans was in Fantastic Four and is now captain america in the First Avenger movie and in the Avengers movie... Or maybe cast Welling since he fits the body type and has experience as the character. For those who say that Gordon-Levitt could play Superman, I would much rather see him play the flash... Matt Bomer of White Collar could play Batman...

I hope Kaley gets up and about soon. It'll be sad to miss her on BBT.

I like John Hamm as much as the next person but he's too old to reboot a franchise around.

They definitely need to change the actor playing Superman in the next movie..but Jon Hamm? I'll need to sleep on that one..

Good to know Kaley is okay. I'm not too sad about her missing an episode though since Penny is my least favourite character on the show.

"Please not that this is only rumor..."

Please NOTE that you need a copy editor so you don't look like morons.

Lindsay Lohan's problem is that she just won't let go. I think she could actually turn things around if she would just take a break for a few years. Sort herself out, avoid plastic surgery at all costs, and come back clean and fresh, with her natural ginger hair. Right now i look at Lindsay and I feel ill. Her hair looked the color of vomit at the vmas

I have hated The Big Bang Theory since it premiered, but I like Kaley, so it's good to hear that she's alright. I hated Stephen Lang's character on Avatar, nothing against him, but i hope he doesn't join Terra Nova. Lindsay Lohan was really funny the first time she hosted SNL, but not the times after. Jon Hamm is good and all, but like it's been said, it'd work better if it were an older version of Superman. to keep it going it needs to be somebody a little young, sort of like with Doctor Who. LOVED David Tennant but he was getting older and to keep the show going after he left they had to get somebody younger

Hamm as Superman would not be bad if they were going with an older Superman who has been around for a while. His look lends itself a lot to the George Reeves era and Hamm would look good if they went with a Golden Age Superman or a Kingdom Come adaption. But as year one Superman I can't see him doing it. Jonathan Kent though, he would be pretty good.
