Another happy couple from the new series 3.
You know the drill, people. As soon as summer becomes visible on the horizon, network executives decide that Hollywood is no place for scripts and flood the market with reality shows that cost as much as a can of baked beans that's two years past its expiration date. But at least CBS has some dogs.
The Eye has revealed its summer slate, and leading things off is the "people in a house" staple series Big Brother, where contestants strive to cultivate just the right amount of "jerk." The latest edition will premiere July 12 and then settle into its three-times-a-week schedule of Wednesdays at 8pm, Thursdays at 9pm (the live eviction episode!), and Sundays at 8pm the following week.
The dating show 3, which follows three women from different backgrounds as they search for love, will get 90 minutes for its debut on Sunday, July 22 at 9pm. Subsequent episodes will be trimmed to an hour, which seems like more than enough time to find the love of your life if you ask me.
Finally, new series Dogs in the City will premiere May 30 at 8pm. The series follows some guy in New York City who settles fights between dogs and their owners.
It's like the broadcast networks are just begging us to stay outside this summer. Fine, we will!
