If you haven't watched the season finale of "One Tree Hill" yet, stop reading this now. Seriously. The following post is packed with spoilers. Don't say I didn't warn you.
Umm … that's it? That was the big Peyton/Lucas send-off? No deaths, no heartbreak and (gasp) no car crashes. What!?
Since news broke that Hilarie Burton and Chad Michael Murray — otherwise known as Peyton Sawyer and Lucas Scott — would be leaving "One Tree Hill" next season, I'd been mentally preparing for a heart-wrenching and emotionally draining season-six finale. You know, complete with the cliff-hangers, fights and shocking drama "OTH" finales are known for. Well, last night, that's not what fans got. Sure, I was blubbering like baby Sawyer by the first commercial break, but after 15 minutes, we found out that Peyton wasn't going to die (thankfully, since the show's body count was getting kind of ridiculous) and Nathan would get the chance to play in the NBA (finally!). I loved that episode!! It would have been the perfect series ender. But for all us Leyton fans out there, I think we were given the perfect ending for our favourite couple. You can't tell me that every romantic out there doesn't want their favourite fictional characters to ride off into the sunset, happy and safe. because I know I do. Plus if Chad and Hilarie have to leave then at least this leaves it open for them to do guest appearences. It was the perfect episode that you can just watch over and over again. It's definately what I'm going to watch if ever I'm in need of a pick me up when I'm feeling a little down. Yeah it didn't have that usual gut-wrenching cliff hanger that it usually has but everyone was always coming back in previous seasons.... This one is different. So I definately think that the writer's did us justice.... it was perfect.moreless
Are you sure there's a season 7?!Because i don't think there is....the season finale was too perfect!
Is the show coming back next season? This was perfect for a series finale. Everyone got what they want, they should just end it that way.
