Original Star Trek actor Leonard Nimoy said he got “emotional” filming scenes for the new $150million remake of the film. Nimoy, 78, is reprising his role as Spock in the latest flick in a time-travel plot alongside the new Spock, played by Heroes star Zachary Quinto. Nimoy also said he got ‘choked-up’ thinking about his old co-stars such as James Doohan and DeForrest Kelly, who have now passed away. He said: “Yes, I did get emotional and I was crying at times but I’m at a much more peaceful place in my life too right now, and that feels good.” But the new film’s director, JJ Abrams, had to persuade him to return to the film with the new generation of actors. He said, according to RadarOnline: “I did have some reservations about doing the film, but when I read the script and met the director, I agreed with the direction they had decided to take.”See More...
