Bob Saget, after redefining himself as one of comedy's filthiest, is close to returning to the Good-Ship-Lollipop image he manufactured as the lead in the ABC sitcom Full House. His new sitcom Surviving Suburbia, left for dead, may have found itself a new home.
Surviving Suburbia was destined to be part of the Media Rights Capital (MRC) time-rented block on The CW's Sundays, but that deal imploded after MRC's shows tanked. Production on Surviving Suburbia continued, and now Variety reports that ABC is in discussions to adopt the show for its own schedule.
The comedy, as its name implies, is a family sitcom focusing on a suburban couple that has their life turned upside-down when their neighbors move in.
Saget is best known for his role as Danny Tanner in Full House and as host of America's Funniest Home Videos. Shortly after Full House ended, Saget opened up his wild side with a turn in Half Baked as a cocaine addict and went on to take his expletive-stuffed stand-up act on tour. Saget is also the narrator for How I Met Your Mother.

I can't really see Bob Saget in any kind of television show capacity, sounds like something I'll be passing, ABC isn't very good w/ their track record on keeping good shows alive, and here they are propositioning Bob to star in another show...tragic.
Not a Saget fan. Though he was good in an episode of Quantum Leap as a desperate stand-up comic. ;)
Um, pass.
Best thing I've seen Bob Saget in was the Comedy Central roast of Bob Saget. That was funny, and the only amount of Saget I need on TV. Good luck though.
Saget's stand-up was cutting edge before he made the big time on FH. Hey, who wouldn't want to nab a paycheck like that? But I agree he probably won't make lightning strike twice with this new show.
Doesn't sound too hopeful. Will probably give it a miss.
Any show that MRC was working on should be simply put out of its misery.
Ooh, sounds interesting *sarcasm*
Um Jesse was actually credited first on Full House so that makes him the lead not Danny.
Oh joy just what TV needs Bob Saget yuck
