Two more seasons for Bones!
This is the week for great news and horrible news for all your favorite television programs. For every obituary for canceled shows, there's a disco-dance party for shows that get renewed. And for Bones fans, this dance party is downright epic.
Fox has renewed Bones and slotted it to remain on Thursday nights this fall… and probably next fall. The romantic comedy/police procedural/drama was given a two-season pickup, says Variety, placing it in Fox's schedule through 2011.
There was no doubt about Bones' return, so why did it take so long for an announcement? The late renewal notice was due to back-and-forth negotiations over the show's licensing fees between Fox (the network) and studio 20th Century Fox Television (the production studio).
It took four seasons, but it looks like Bones finally has a permanent time slot and schedule security. Thank god.

Good to know this one's safe. now if they could just stop flitting around the schedule. i never know when it's on! i hate the long breaks and all the specials that pre-empt it!

Thank God. I love Bones. It's great to know we will have it at least for two more seasons. Hopefully it will continue longer than that.
I'd be euphoric over this news were it not for Terminator's cancellation. I love Bones, but I'd rather see more Terminator. It's better and more deserving in every way.
I am really happy to hear that 'Bones' is going to be on for at least 2 more yrs. Look forward to watching more of David,Emily,and the team in the fall (smiles).

I will love this show until it finishes. The finale wasn't legendary but it wasn't epic bad either. Just a little bit of a disappointment. That won't stop me from tuning in though!
Glad that Bones has got another 2 years left in it. I agree they need to make a new Zach story line. Can't wait for season 5 to see what they do with Booth's amnesia.

Awesome!!!!!! I love this show and I am so glad that its staying on. A 2 season contract is pretty cool, I've never heard about that before. I'm sure its happened to other shows before, its just the first time its come to my attention. Way to go Bones!!!

wow...two season renewal! great news, but they have to begin writing better season finales...
