Someone tell Walter White to buy some new tighty whiteys--he's going to need some more. Four episodes into season two, AMC has picked up a third season of the Emmy-winning drama Breaking Bad, about a high-school chemistry teacher (Bryan Cranston) turned amateur drug runner.
Breaking Bad is AMC's second straight original hit, following the critics' darling Mad Men. From creator Vince Gilligan (The X-Files, see our interview with him here), Breaking Bad fuses comedy and drama and tackles the lines between morality and criminality. Also starring in the program are Anna Gunn, Aaron Paul, and Dean Norris.
AMC may be making a name for itself on the drama front, but it's also looking to expand. The network announced that it is developing a reality project called True West. The docu-drama will follow a family of modern-day cowboys as they struggle to keep their old-timey jobs relevant in today's fancy-pants era.
But don't expect reality drivel the likes of other unscripted trash--AMC is focused on real drama.
"We had been putting the word out very quietly but sort of consciously that we were looking at unscripted series, with the mandate being that we were looking for an unscripted series that plays like a drama series," AMC exec Joel Stillerman told Variety. "We're not looking to do a competition show or one that's heavily formatted."
Thank you, AMC.

Love the show , I don't mind a 10th season lol . Can't get enough of it .
Third season should only be half a season, I love Breaking Bad but I don't want them to milk, hence water down, the suspense and great storytelling...
Good Stuff Maynard!
No big surprise there really, I imagine this will last at least 5 seasons.
Will Walter White ever die? How long can this go one for?
