Britain bids goodbye to Boston Legal

We've followed the personal and professional exploits of Boston Legal's finest for over five years and this week the award-winning show draws a surprising conclusion.

Boston Legal bows out with an episode described as "outstanding" by TV.com fans. Part-two of the show's finale sees best friends Denny (Spader) and Alan (Shatner) make their last trip to the Supreme Court -- for a shock marriage!

The friends, who are also colleagues, make a last-minute decision to wed when Denny's fears about his future with Alzheimer's intensify. Their wedding offers the ill attorney a lifetime of security but sends shockwaves throughout the gay community.

The concluding episode, entitled Last Call, has been given an average rating of 9.7 by international TV.com users -- the best score ever given to a Boston Legal episode -- and features one final show-defining balcony scene.

Boston Legal's finale doesn't mark the end for creator David E. Kelly, however, as his recently produced courtroom drama Legally Mad is set to pilot on NBC soon. The drama, starring British actor Hugh Bonneville, will be the fifth legal show produced by Kelly, whose previous shows include Ally McBeal and L.A. Law.

Last Call airs this Friday, April 24, on Living at 10pm. Are you sad to see it go?

Pretty much everything is wrong about this sentence. The names and the reason for which the go to the supreme court. It's a shame.
