Call for Submissions: Your Top TV Moments of 2012

Seasons greetings, TV.com readers! The holidays are upon us, and on the internet, that can only mean one thing: It's time to start compiling our various year-end stories and lists.

So snap out of that turkey coma, because even though you've already weighed in on which shows and actors you'd like to see nominated for our "Best of 2012" awards, we're not done asking you for end-of-the-year input just yet. As we discussed in our podcast earlier this week, preparations for the fifth annual installment of TV.com's Top 100 Everything officially begin today; just like last year, we'll spend the last days of December reliving the most excellent television moments of 2012.

But selecting the 100 most amazing things about television from a entire year's worth of the stuff is no small task. And so we'd like to know: What do you think should make our list for 2012?

Thing big, think small, think awesome: If it happened on (or had something to do with) TV this year, it counts. Seriously—from a brilliant new character to a particularly hilarious commercial to a beautifully decorated set to an all-around flawless episode of your favorite show to... you get the idea.

Post your nominees in the comments section below... and check back on Monday, December 17 for the first installment of this year's list!

P.S. You can check out last year's entire Top 100 list here.

Well, I'll start with Fringe of course:

- Season 5, first episode, ending scene with Walter and Yazoo's Only You. Perfect music, perfect setting, perfect cinematography, perfect acting = perfect scene.
- John Noble's acting on Fringe. Especially the Walter and Walternate scene in Worlds Apart. Not even two Emmys would be enough for the work John Noble's done on Fringe.
- FOX being a good guy for a change and letting Fringe finish off the series with a 13th episode renewal for Season 5.
- Death of Etta. Superb casting, magnificent acting and writing. And BAM! A death of a character we've known for only 5 episodes makes us cry in pain like nothing else on TV.

- Louie's episode Daddy's Girlfriend part 2. The episode was absolute perfection! We celebrate many things in this Top100 list, many of them are about BIG events, shocks and revelations. Louie however is just pure art and to not have this episode somewhere near the top in the list, would be simply a crime.
- Parker Posey's year: as Louie's girlfriend, on New Girl, in that parody about an acting teacher.
- Louis CK's year: two Emmys, hosting SNL and amazing season of Louie. He has a magnificent mind and he's finally getting the recognition he deserves.

- Person of Interest: striking all the right notes on the season finale and on the following premiere - amazing year for this new show. An unexpected gem, on CBS nonetheless!
- Castle & Becket finally do the dirty.
- Homeland being an insane roller coaster ride in all of 2012.
- Game of Thrones' Blackwater episode.
- All around awesomeness on the Walking Dead: from the birth scene, to Michonne's katana mayhem. From The Governor's creepiness to Glenn's badassery.
- Despite of the widely outspread pilotitis, there were some amazing pilots: Awake, Last Resort.
- Debora finding out about Dexter. A huge opportunity for screwing that up, but it was handled very well and enjoyable to watch. Carpenter really showed her acting chops.
- Fans showing amazing appreciation for the canceled Firefly. After 10 years, this gem of a show still has such a huge following and has become a symbol for way too soon canceled show. You can almost say "Damn they fireflied Last Resort".
- House ended. Not saying it's good it ended, but it was a very huge show and extremely influential.
- Leslie and Ben's engagement. Totally out of the blue, not soapy, but still cute and funny.
- Tim & Price started the Totally Tubular podcast. I think everybody agrees that that's better for the whole TV industry worldwide.
- Craig Ferguson getting some acknowledgement and a new studio. After watching that show, there is a severely high chance you won't be able to watch any other late night show. The way he deconstructs the stereotypes, the sidekick concept and the overall formula is just pure gold and very good for the health of TV.

I think that's all for now.

Oh, how could I forget:

- Homeland's dialogue in Q&A. That conversation between Carrie and Brody was excellent and is a shining example of an explosive combination of superb acting and superb writing.

I'll have to get back, but I loved Game of Thrones when Daenerys Enters House of the Undying and goes through some awesome scenes then she and her Dragons are being held by Pyat Pree and they get more than they bargained for! Love how she communicates with her Dragons and they unleash Dragon Fire on Pyat Pree!
