Here's something you can't say every day: Hollywood is about to do something new.
The 33rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards will be broadcast on ABC this Friday, April 28, from 8-11 p.m. The event will take place at the Kodak Theater in the heart of Hollywood.
At a special Creative Emmys ceremony held on Saturday, April 22, soap opera The Young and the Restless won Outstanding Original Song (Sunshine); talk show Ellen Degeneres won Outstanding Achievement in Main Title Design; and food pixie Rachael Ray won Outstanding Service show for 30 Minute Meals. Sesame Street's "Big Bird," Carol Spinney, was also honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
This time around, last year's Best Talk Show Host winner Ellen Degeneres will go up against Regis Philbin, Kelly Ripa, and The View gals for Outstanding Talk Show Host. Hosting the Emmy telecast itself will be comedian Tom Bergeron, cohost of Dancing With the Stars, and former Dancing winner Kelly Monaco.
