CBS announces fall premiere times

It's about time...slots.

CBS today announced dates and times for its fall schedule. The eye is the last of the major networks to do so.

The network is bringing four new shows to the air, the least of any network. James Woods plays a tough lawyer in Shark, Skeet Ulrich goes postapocalyptic in Jericho, and a thieving Ray Liotta abounds in Smith. The net's sole new comedy is The Class.

Also unlike the other nets, CBS will premiere all of its shows in the unofficial "premiere week" in late September.

ABC has the most new shows of any network this coming season. The net moved Grey's Anatomy to Thursdays, where it will compete with CSI and Deal or No Deal.

Fox president Peter Liguori predicted Thursday will be a "monster night" of TV. The network has new dramas Vanished and Standoff, as well as a rash of new comedies.

NBC has several big-budget shows it is banking on this fall, including Aaron Sorkin's Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and the sci-fi show Heroes.

New network The CW could snag the youth market with a robust slate of shows combining the best of The WB and UPN.

The following is CBS's Fall 2006 schedule. New shows are in caps.

KING OF QUEENS is returning to CBS Mid-Season in January '07. HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER is a great show, and one of my favorites now. The first season was excellent. What is so funny about TWO AND HALF MEN... I don't understand. Charlie Sheen is a great actor but even better in the last two seasons of SPIN CITY.

Wheres the king of queens man?????

Way back in April or May of this year, after contract talks were non existant between costars Kevin James, Leah Remini and CBS, the network left it off their fall schedule. Later, the three later came to an agreement for one more half season due to premire in mid to late December. After this, the series will come to an end.

I don't think How I Met Your Mother is funny at all. It ruins a perfect lineup for me. But at least I don't see The Office again. That was dreadful. Don't see how The Class could be anything but great.

So far Shark is the only program to catch my "eye" Luckily it is after CSI or I'd never remember to watch.

Last show I backed [CiC] got cancelled. Hope Shark does better.

Was there reasoning behind moving Without a Trace to Sunday nights? I thought it was perfect right behind CSI:. If you think about it Cold Case is almost like Without a Trace, but with the CSI bit of it when the person isn't found. Wouldn't it not be to the advantage of CBS to not have two similar shows right after each other....unless they are trying to kill one of the two shows (that's the only logic I see).

All in the same...Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 10 (well..Tuesday at 8) all go to CBS for my t.v.

The shows I'm excited to see are: How I Met Your Mother, SMITH, JERICHO, CSI, and Close to Home (very excited to see this after the finale!). :) YAY CBS!!!

The only thing I hate is having to choose between CSI and Grey's Anatomy. :) Hopefully they don't premiere on the same night. lol

I can't wait for Ghost Whisperer, How I Met Your Mother, and to check out Jericho! I've never been a real CSI: fan, so Thursdays for me are NBC and the CW!
