Darnit, I was hoping The Good Wife would get a 2 hour finale. The second half of the fourth season has been stellar again and every episode always leaves me wanting more. I consider it to be the best show on tv right now, so slightly dissapointed. But happy with the Elementary finale!

Hey iceewoman, I love criminal minds and that is the only show(along with person of interest) that is always different. Criminal Minds easily deserves a 2 hour finale and the 12+ million that watch it agree. I agree with you about survivor, but criminal minds is a fantastic show so please keep your opinions to yourself, because no one likes them, thanks!

Survivor always has a 2hr finale, that's not news or special.

Has anyone else noticed that Criminal Minds every episode is as if it was the previous episode? Honestly why would it deserve a 2 hour season finale? Now I could see The Good Wife with the 2 hour season finale or person of interest. And why 2 hours on reality TV? I didn't think the shows were holding their own anymore. Personally competition reality TV is the worst thing to happen in America in forever.

Wonder what twist Elementary will go, we have seen him fall from a water fall in Switzerland, then he fell from a building. Where wil sherlock fall now? Or will they go in an complete different "death", I bet it will be good, and i cant wait for the follow up on how he seemingly "survived".

heheh if you count House MD, we have 3 deaths...since it is based on Sherlock too!

You got my hopes up with "some 2 hour finales" But as far as I can see, the only 2 hour finales are the reality shows.

I was hoping for a 2-hour finale of "Person of Interest" or something.

Completely agree about "Person of Interest".

Saw the headline for this article and it got my hopes up. However, when I read the list, my hopes were dashed.

And Elementary and Criminals.

But yeah, all reality shows.

I am a little surprised that HIMYM is not an hour long

If it was an hour long then they wouldn't be able to stretch the story for the 9th season

only care about HIMYM, 2 Broke Girls, Mike & Molly, and Elementary myself.. I don't really follow the finale dates but yeah, the finale for Guys With Kids just randomly happened and I was surprised by it.

So I guess that Vegas is making the move to Friday now instead of Golden Boy. Not only are they advertising new episodes of Golden Boy on commercials on Tuesday night, but Vegas now has a season finale on Friday.

Yes - this was announced last week. http://www.tv.com/news/cbs-schedule-swaps-golden-boy-and-vegas-136268388608/

I don't want to read too much into this but does TGW ending early mean bad things for its renewal prospects?

I am not surprised that POI isn't doing a two hour season finale. It would kind of throw off their slow burn style.

However, if CBS was smart they would do Shaw webisodes. Mostly because I want to see Sarah Shahi kicking people's arse. But also because they introduced a compelling character and I want to see more of her.

You can't even find all of the CBS shows on Cable's VOD offerings. If my DVR misses POI or Mentalist we're stuck watching on our cumputer monitor.

has CBS ever done webisodes

sadly no. Even their website is pretty lacking.

Many of their series have hinky contractual business limits regarding internet licensing. Perhaps this is why their series appear to go into syndication so quickly?

They should really look at what AMC is doing with TWD, some of the interwebs and mobile collateral is genius.

I also really wish that the previously aired episodes were available online (even if it's a pay-per-episode venue, I'd buy it if it were listed). Missed a few episodes, and can't find the episodes that I want to see anywhere (also it doesn't help that the copyright holders are cracking down, too). Very frustrating.

Plus, it's difficult trying to keep the momentum going for other potential viewers as well. Found a viewing buddy when I purchased the first season DVD set, who really liked the show. However, they aren't about to stop watching their K-Dramas (that air at the same time as POI). VOD gave us the flexibility to follow "Grimm" and "Elementary" rather easily. Too bad we can't do that with "Person of Interest".

I agree. I am forced to go to streaming sites if I miss an episode of POI.

Even NBC's online stuff is way better. And NBC, I am convinced, actively dislikes their viewers.

Person of Interest deserves a two-hour finale. It's hands down the best show on CBS. Maybe next season.

*Snif* May 9th, 10:00pm will be the start of a 4 month long depression for me. 9:00pm will be awesome, though.

I know, those 4 month's are going to be torture.

Haha, exactly! Season finales of shows you love are so bitter-sweet, because you know they're going to be awesome to watch, but the withdrawal hits you hard the moment it's over since you know it's going to be a few months before you can get your next fix of that show (unless you watch older episodes between seasons).

Homeland. Knowing their are 9 months from the season capper to the premiere of the next season is torture.

The only one I really care about is Person of Interest. I'm very excited to see what the writers do with the second season finale. There are a few plot threads that I am looking forward to seeing fleshed out, most notably Root, Control, the virus, and the people behind the virus. If the writers can tie these threads together well enough, we could end up with an even better finale than we had in season 1.

Also Elias - he's great - and HR are looming somewhere in the background. We also had a former British SAS agent, who is probably gonna come back at some point.
Also there are tons of things in Reese's and Finch's pasts that we could explore. Their individual pasts, not to mention their shared connection. Also the whole "Harold was behind that briefcase" thing that nearly got Kara and Reese killed in China.

Damn this show is great. Especially with its villains.

Yeah, there's plenty of plot threads for them to flesh out in the future. So much so that some of them probably won't return until season 3. I really want to see more of Elias, though I didn't mention it because he hasn't really been that important to the main story this year. I guess with a show like this, there could be a major twist to bring him back into it by the end of the season, but even if there's not, I doubt we've seen the last of him. And now that you've mentioned it, I do think that they'll be dealing more with Finch's past, and his role in what happened with Kara and Reese. But whatever happens in the next few episodes, I'm sure it will be great.
