Class is in session for a little while longer.
CBS has extended the life of the freshman comedy by four more episodes. The show has recieved solid but unspectacular ratings so far this season, averaging 9 million viewers a week.
Class started out soft when it premiered on September 18, then improved when the net switched its time slot. Originally, How I Met Your Mother aired Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m., following Class--now, those spots are reversed.
CBS hasn't been shy about taking action with its new fall shows. The net gave a full season to Jericho after four episodes and pulled the heist drama Smith after just three.
The CW has ordered a script from American Dreams creator Jonathan Prince. Titled Thirteen Songs, the drama will revolve around an all-girl rock band in their late teens/early 20s. The CW's target demographic is women 18-34.
