Not a bad day for Worst Week.
CBS, known in the television circles as the junior crime stoppers committee based on its slate of detective procedurals, is showing that it can be more than just serious by expanding the orders of a pair of new comedies. Gary Unmarried and Worst Week will go beyond their initial 13-episode orders, but not quite enough to label them full seasons.
Gary Unmarried has exceeded expectations for CBS, and has earned seven more episodes as a result. The order also includes two more scripts on top of that--which if produced, would equal the traditional 22-episode full-season. Jay Mohr stars as a recently divorced dad in the traditional sitcom.
On the other side of things, Worst Week hasn't lived up to preseason expectations, but had the daunting task of matching the tag of being the most promising new comedy. Still, it's done well enough for CBS to ask for three more episodes. In Worst Week, a bumbling everyday Joe deals with trying to impress his fiancee's straightlaced parents.
No big surprises here, but which show would you rather have for a full season?

I've never seen Worst Week but I like Gary Unmarried. I would also have kept Back to You.
Worst Week is hilarious. Gary unmarried is ok but if I had to choose I'd definitely go with WW!

I slightly prefer Gary to Worst Week but neither of them are that great. I prefer Scrubs or New Adventures of Old Christine.

Gary Unmarried has been consistently good and it deserves this pickup. Worst Week started off really good but has been pretty mediocre since then.

Gary Unmarried definitely deserves the order more than Worst Week. What Week is doing with that excellent slot is just awful! I cannot believe they are buying into it and not letting Rules of Engagement comes back earlier.

Good to hear. Gary Unmarried is one of my favorite new shows this season.
I'd like to see Pushing Daisies get picked up! ABC needs to make the right move by getting this to a full season. It may be expensive to produce, but the show is worth more than money in every PD fan's heart. This is great at getting awards and praise that it's stupid to throw away talent. Colleges look at the best grades, not how wealthy someone is. The Pie Hole cannot be demolished!
After watching both Gary Unmarried and Worse Week. I think Gary Unmarried fully deserved the full season pickup but Worse Week it's below par... CBS made a right call this time around *claps*Doesn't mean I'll forget the Moonlight axing... lol
