Kaley Cuoco, who plays a young witch on the WB's Charmed, has joined ABC's untitled comedy pilot about two sisters who live together despite having grown up under different circumstances--one rich, one poor.
She will portray Gabby, the younger sister to Marisa Coughlan's character.
Cuoco joined the cast of Charmed this season as Billie, a witch under the tutelage of the Charmed Ones (Alyssa Milano, Holly Marie Combs, and Rose McGowan). Before that, she had a starring role as the late John Ritter's daughter on ABC's comedy series 8 Simple Rules.
Charmed is ending its run at the end of this season, at the same time the WB and UPN merge to become The CW.
Kaley is a great actress. I loved her in 8 simple rules.

Oh and if she hasn't, that could be an idea for a spin off series, but I dunno... I think it might kinda ruin it. Wyatt and Chris could have one -a future type spin off- and billie could be in it, I guess, I type of mentor for the boys, I dunno... dreaming, I guess. I just don't want to see it end all together, but at the same time I don't want to see a brilliant series ruined, just to please desperate fans like myself, lol.
Charmed did show that she can act, I was quite shocked to see the difference... It's true she didn't seem to fit well though, but that's bc she took on their role, or tried to, as demon hunters etc, and showed off about it (imho anywayz). I wonder if billie ever finds her sister.. we haven't got that far yet...<br />

Just great-u would think she would want to move away from these type of role-the move charmed was great -it showed she can act. i was hoping she would more serious roles-guess i was wrong.
It basically is a used concept for a show, it was done with Sister, Sister and later with Half and Half. Now they are doing it again with white people, lol.<br />
I think they should run ideas for a spin-off of Charmed. If it is done correctly then it could work, just look at Angel - that was a successful spin-off series.
I think it's good that Kaley got another gig, because she didn't fit well in Charmed... Best wishes to Kaley, and the worst for Billie :)
