Julian Morrow is staying "mum" on the finer details of what went down, or rather up, when The Chaser boys recently sailed a blimp over The Vatican.
After the 2007 APEC stunt, Morrow knows the pulling power of major headlines and is hoping that curious viewers tune in on Wednesday to see the act.
"It's just a test of whether the Catholic Church has learned the lessons of the last few years," he admitted rather coyly.
Knowing the risks in illegally violating Vatican airspace, Morrow and Craig Reucassel made sure there were enough cameras to grab the moment.
"We got all but one camera out, because we had a fair few cameras on it. And we hear that the final camera will get back to us (by the time we go to air).
"We turned our minds to the possibility that the authorities might keep our footage, so we built in a few redundancies so that if we lost one we'd have others," he said.
With their reputation preceding them, Morrow admits that local authorities were pretty quick to swoop upon them.
"They put two and two together pretty quickly. The first cops on site were mentioning the APEC stunt, so they clearly knew about us," he said.
Since becoming so popular they now have to think creatively to nab unsuspecting targets.
"When we were overseas there were two clear advantages. One was the ability to work with a bunch of different subjects, who you literally can't access in Australia. But the other was the chance to fly under the radar again, which I suppose just changes the nature of the types of stunts that you can pull off."
So far, Morrow and his cohorts haven't had any clarity of a legal fallout from the stunt.
"I don't know what the Italian for 'limbo' is, but that seems to be where we are at the moment," he said. "We haven't been charged with anything yet. It's gone to a prosecutor. The prosecutor's looking at it but we haven't heard anything back. I think it's what she makes of it. The indications we've got are that it may take some time."
If it takes anywhere near as long as it did to resolve their APEC-stunt court case -- one which was eventually dropped -- then Morrow doesn't mind.
"We're more than happy for it to take a long time."
The Chaser's War on Everything returns 9pm Wednesday on ABC1.
