Check Out the NSFW Trailer for Netflix's Horror Series Hemlock Grove (VIDEO)

Do you like being scared? Do you also like being titillated? Then you might be some kind of pervert and you might like Netflix's upcoming horror series Hemlock Grove. The streaming-service's second original series of the year comes out this Friday (as is Netflix's model, the entire season will be released to subscribers at once), and to get you ready, Netflix has released this red-band trailer featuring some skin, some dirty words, and some painful monster transformations.

(Note: This trailer is for mature audiences only! If you aren't mature, pretend like you are.)

Hemlock Grove follows the investigation into the murder of a young girl in a small steel town. Two of the suspects, who just so happen to be young hunks, start their own search for the killer and end up exposing the town's dark side. Did I mention one of them might be a werewolf?

Hemlock Grove debuts this Friday, April 19 on Netflix.

A great Swedish family of actors there, yes. Nice to see you are following in the tradition of your Danish brothers of old in raping and pillaging something English - even if it is just the language now. :p

As long as you only do it to yourself, and certainty would suggest so, then I'm sure you're fun to be around too.

TIM!!! God I love your articles man, you always tell it like it is: "Did I mention one of them might be a werewolv?", I can already hear you laughing at how gullible ppl become the exact moment you mention werewolves, not to mention vampires :D

I really liked the book, it is a much smarter story than the rest of what is out there in this genre. I'm watching.

Not sure I'll bother; just looks like a sexed up version of the vampire diaries to me.

Gonna check it out and then I'll see what's up with it. Trailer looks good but it also looks like it would be better off as a movie.
Might have one good season and after that it's going to get more and more ridicioulos until it's being cancelled

This looks like a more mature teen romp of a horror series and being on Netflix I guess it can escape the restrictions of gen pop tv. Let's hope it doesn't sink into lots of simulated shagging scenes to keep horny teens interested and little else. Several shows of late (I'm looking at you DaVinci bollox) are employing stylised nonsense and sex over content.
More creep and less bed squeak please.

Definitely looks, uh, different. Has there ever been more gore in a [television series] trailer before? Geez. If only I had Netflix...

I'll also at least try it for Famke. Looks like it could be good, and Netflix does seem to be trying.

I'll watch the pilot because of Famke Janssen and Lili Taylor, but that looks kind of bad to me, like a CW show gone wild, using to much sex and blood for the sake of it, usually that's the technic to mask bad writing.

You can't put in the same category Game of Thrones and Boardwalk Empire with Spartacus, it's like saying a Botticelli painting or Herb Ritts shoot is the same as a playboy picture just because there is a naked women on it. I liked the show Boss but the sex was not justified i think, in Game of Thrones it's really part of the story and women empowerment, putting you in uncomfort on purpose at times (except for that whore house scene wish was for free and not necessary imo), and in Boardwalk Empire, come on it's a show about alcohol, gangsters, and whores of course there will be sex, it did not over shadow the brillant acting and story telling.

Sex is part of life, so it's normal it's part of tv shows, if it's not gratuitous, and some times it's also good to see it not esthetized, like in Girls.

Spartacus is just bad erotic cheap tv.

It looks like a more gory and perverted version of Teen Wolf - for "adults" who like to watch a lot of boring sex scenes on TV. Seriously, it looks like too much focus on that for me to stay interested. I'm already sick of half-porn as entertainment like on Game of Thrones, Spartacus, True Blood, Boardwalk Empire and the likes. Oh and it's Eli Roth so no wonder... torture porn galore.
It's a shame because it sounded like one of the most promising new shows this year, but now, after the trailer, I feel disappointed and not sure I even want to start watching this show.

Not to mention the lame lesbian scene thrown in the mix and that it's another "young female murder victim".

I saw Famke Janssen and Lili Taylor. Honestly though it looks a bit too disturbing for my tastes. I'm not big on shock for the sake of shock. depth of plot and character is what usually gets me.

Hmmmmmm. Was in until I saw this trailer. I'm not a Twilight/Pretty Little Liars/True Blood kinda guy. "Being Human" (U.S.) is as far as I'll go, only because that show is funny-awkward more than vampire/werewolf myth.

Um I don't think you can put True Blood in the same list as Twilight and Pretty Little Liars. It's way different as in coarseness, setting and types of characters.

Trailer looks like its a mashup of the worst parts of Twilight/Pretty Little Liars/True Blood. Not saying those three shows are exactly alike, but circle the same demo.

Ah, it's the teenage girl myth again. Why didn't you say so? Trueish for Twilight and Pretty Little Liars. True Blood isn't for teenage girls; it skews several years older and is aimed at both genders, as you can tell by the eye candy they offer. I've watched Twilight (because I like to know what I'm insulting) and I watch True Blood, but I don't watch Pretty Little Liars and I've never been tempted because it completely lacks vampires. I'll give you the Twilight/Pretty Little Liars teenage girl demo and the Twilight/True Blood genre fiction demo, but I don't believe there's a real True Blood/Pretty Little Liars demo. I'd need to see a correlation with a strong statistical significance to believe it.

Hemlock is aimed at the same audience that watches True Blood. Thus makes my argument valid. Haha!

Okay, now that you mention it, what do Twilight and Pretty Little Liars have in common? The cast of characters contains one or more teenage girls? That's all I've got.

You're right. There are some really over-hyped people in Hollywood who get financing for anything they want, despite over and over again failing at producing anything of quality. Eli Roth is one of them. He just happens to know the right people, like Tarantino. At the same time really talented people struggle to get money for their projects. (Rant over.)

Anyway, in the case of Hemlock Grove, I think they are just using Tim Roth's name for marketing purposes (like J.J. Abrams') because his name is the most recognized. Yes, he is actually an executive producer, but there are several others too. And I have rarely seen such a colourful bunch behind a show. Some have very little producing experience, others have started in the early 80s, some have worked on quality shows and films, others on really bad ones. Therefore I will not find this show guilty by association with Roth, there are others carrying the load too. On the other hand, the creators and writers for the show are virtual newcomers in Hollywood, even though they do have a solid background in some quality writing programs. So I'm interested in seeing what they manage to create as their first project. Apparently Roth directed the first episode, but the two other names (that I can find) who have been confirmed as directors for some episodes are seasoned veterans, both having worked on 40+ different TV shows and films.

If nothing else it's got an interesting looking cast in Aaron Douglas, Paul Popwich, Kandyse McClure, Famke Janssen & Dougray Scott .

Bit of a Bridge and BSG reunion going on there. Also one of the characters is called Shelly Godfrey which was one of Number Six's alter egos so no werewolves just cylons :)
