Comedy Central's Review Will End With a Shortened Season

We give this news one-and-a-half stars. Comedy Central's Review will come to a close with an abbreviated third season, The Hollywood Reporter errr, reports. The decision was allegedly made jointly by the network and star/producer Andy Daly, which eases some of the pain of seeing this gem go.

The final season will be a minimum three episodes, which would be considerably lower than the nine and 10 episodes that made up the first two seasons. Comedy Central might air the multi-episode  conclusion over a handful of nights or compact it all together in a movie-style finish if it chooses not to air the shortened season weekly.

Review is brilliant. Daly plays Forrest MacNeil, a man who reviews "life experiences" on a scale of one to five stars, but sees his dogged devotion to the authenticity of his work wreak havoc on his personal life. It is one of the best comedies on television today, and should be watched immediately if you haven't seen it. You can catch up on Hulu or on Comedy Central's site

I present this clip without context:

At least we'll get closure.

Ridiculous. Seems like Andy Daly's been waiting forever to get his breakout role; he's been everywhere. And then when he finally gets it, Comedy Central ends it prematurely.

Shame really. There's not many shows that literally made me laugh. I can only think of The Office and Nathan For You really. Most comedies don't do it for me. And I get that not everyone is into this type of comedy which is probably why the ratings weren't really good. But damn I'm gonna miss it when it's over.

But at least Andy Daly has something lined up already with Anna Gunn, so that could be good!

Hey, but there's always the original! Obviously you have to put up with a foreign accent... but that's not all bad, right?

This is probably a good idea as it seems like they started running out of good new ideas nearing the end of Season 2 and it was already starting to become somewhat repetitive.

Comedy Central sure loves crappy shows and movies. Please let them cancel Amy Schumer, Broad City, and Idiotsitter. Don't know what people see in shows like this.

Your description sold me on watching this show. That embedded clip undid it all.

Forrest McNeil is the best. The character really did live a life and destroy it in the process. I'm gonna miss the show. Hopefully Forrest will get his life in some semblance of order before it ends.

This show is awesome, and seems like something that could go on and on as it's filmed when the principal actors have time so a season could be aired when there's 8 or 10 episodes.
