Comic-Con 2012: Check Out This [BLEEP] Dexter Season 7 Sneak Peek! (VIDEO)

Today the lucky attendees of the Comic-Con '12 Dexter panel were treated to the first few minutes of the long-running series' Season 7 premiere! That awkward moment when your sister watches you ritualistically murder the city's most-wanted killer? Yeah, that gets explored here in what COULD be a pretty good scene were it not for the seriously distracting BLEEPS. Come on, Showtime, we're all grown-ups here. Isn't the swearing slightly MORE acceptable than the recently stabbed corpse in the background? Anyway, check it out below:

Will YOU be watching Dexter Season 7?

That was a decent preview. Here's hoping the season won't be as bad as the past two.

I will be watching, and I would love it if every episode got bleeped like that, it was hilarious.

There is a number of ways this could go, there is no " the only real way" but apparently as we know so far it starts out with dexter lying rather unsuccessfully to deb, atleast noone i know is gullible enough to believe the lies when the evidence is stacked against them. however I love this show it adds flavor to a rather dull set of tv shows over the past few years. I know however they go with this it will turn out spectacular because well the whole show has been so far except a few minor issues with the gap of missing things between season 5 and 6 ie. batista a laguerra being divorced, but there was a year between that we didnt get to see.. thats ok i guess. but I wonder also when ddk called gellar and gellar answered seemed odd to me that it was all a figment of travis's pschotic mind. either way it's under standable since dexter too see's people who are no longer here. the psycho...

but I would just love to see how deb handles this situation being " in love" with dexter , in fact I half wouldn't mind seeing them get together in a relationship before the show ends.

I have a bad feeling that louis ends up killing dex though. I hope I'm wrong. im sure that would wait till season 8. I will be disappointed if harrison loses his daddy.

I'm so angry at this. The only real way for this to proceed is for Dexter to immediately confess, appeal to her sense of justice and daddy issues to get her to at least start pondering his point of view. This "I'm going to tell a lie and Deb will be even more stupid because she believes it" is inexcusably terrible writing and missing an opportunity for real character growth.

This. If they do this I'm DONE with this show.

I finally want some BLEEP conflict in this BLEEP show and not BLEEP BLEEP.

What made S1/2 so great was the *characters* of which only empty hulls remain now.

I'll watch because I like the show.

Will I be disappointed, probably. Will I care as much, probably not.

I'd like for Debra to stop cursing so much though. One can only hope right?

Seriously, Deb is the best;D Fuuuuck...!

Not very optimistic after this video... pretty lame dialogue. Unbelievable that deb is even considering pondering about that bullshit.

Maybe I'm being pessimistic, but it feels very phony.

what sort of question is that??

of course, nobody can leave when last finale ends at this sort of cliffhanger.

dexter, and i mean not just the show, just got good, i bet he felt some emotions there in this scene for the first time in his life!!

Oh, you know I will be watching. And with the end in sight, I think we've got a real good set of two seasons on the way. An ending usually helps to focus the writing, so I am very excited. Especially now that Deb knows, been waiting on this for a few years. Awesome.

F yeah im watching..... and with only 2 seasons left, sign me up for S 08 also!

I mean, of course she's not going to buy it, but you still have to try and play it off like it's a one time thing.

I really loved it when Dex's only line was "Bleep...".

But I miss the Deb of old who wasn't in love with Dex and had these hilarious one-liners like "Shit a brick and fuck me with it." or "Fuck me in both ears."

Oh yeah - last season had a 'few' awful moments but hopefully this season will be better...

I really, REALLY want this season to be a return to the Dexter of old. You know, one of the best written shows on television. So I sincerely hope Deb doesn't buy into this "I snapped" bullshit for very long. First time killers (even forensic experts) don't ritualistically prepare kill rooms. Candles lit, pictures displayed, Travis purposely placed on the altar with his sword at his feet. Dexter is even wearing a protective apron for the blood! Deb is a smart cop. She kept asking why Travis was wrapped in plastic. She may be in love with Dexter, but the Deb we know would be relentless until she found out the whole truth.

Writers, please don't screw this up.

I understand completely. I've gotten too cynical with this show, however, so I don't have as much hope. Even though the supporting characters get worse each season, Dexter and Deb usually do enough good to outshine those flaws. Last season though, even the stuff with Dexter and Deb sucked, so whille I think the show is in a better place this year, I still can't get hyped. So it seems Deb catches Dex in the act, only to find out he just snapped with Travis, but later finds out he's been doing this for a LONG time, and that could take an ENTIRE season for Deb to figure out just that fact. I'm hoping this doesn't happen, so we'll see. The fact that there are TWO seasons left make me wonder how much bullshit filler Scott Buck will throw at us.

I you're right and it's the most probable thing that it takes a whole season for Deb to figure it out. I just don't understand why the writers are stretching the material so bad... They could play out that conflict in the open for 2 seasons easily. They need to stop take things slow and focus on random season arch villains. They need to focus on the characters.

No way they do. Deb's a good cop, she wouldn't let that stand.

i think, because there's still two seasons until the end, that dexter will convince deb that it was an accident... because if everybody finds out now we cannot have two seasons with the police chasing a serial killer...

That was pretty good, imo.

Lol Deb... and people thought she wouldn't call him in.

Comic con is awesome this year, and this Dexter clip is but one example of the amazing stuff I've seen there in the past couple of days

Come on, Dex! Say it with me, "I'M A SERIAL KILLER! ... of bad guys."
Reply

Now that's what I'm talking about. Think he can really out smart Deb like this? Or will this play the whole season? Doesn't sound like a confession of everything he has done seemed to be coming.

Darn right I'll be watching! One of my favourite shows! Hard to wait 2 more months.
