Courteney Cox is returning to television after a short hiatus, starring in a new comedy pilot for ABC appropriately titled Cougar Town, says Variety. The pilot is being executive produced by Cox and Bill Lawrence, the head honcho over at Scrubs and former Cox collaborator as a writer for Friends.
The chuckler stars Cox as a bona fide cougar--an overused and tired term referring to older, single women who "hunt" for younger men to fulfill all their desires. In other words, Cox will play a recently single 40-something-year-old mother. Think of it as Gary Unmarried but replace Jay Mohr with Courteney Cox.
In addition to Friends, Cox stayed afloat with a few forgettable film roles before co-creating and starring in FX's Dirt, which was laid to rest earlier this year.
Anyone excited to see Courteney Cox back on television? Anyone excited to see a show revolving around the idea of a "cougar"? If you answered "no" to both of these questions, we have more in common than you might think.

it seems not many people are in sync with the writer of this story! i would like to see her on television again, the first season of D!RT was incredibly well done. Hopefully the writing of this one will be on par.
Will give it a go.
I like Courtney Cox enough to want to watch her on television again. I probably would enjoy Cougar Town if the writing is good.
If given a chance, I think this could be a funny show. I'm not the biggest fan of Courney but I like the concept.
Could be interesting, but I doubt it. Courtney Cox has be poor since freinds.
Big Cox fan (That sounds weird if you say it out loud lmao). Anyway can't wait.
