In the late-night talk-show ratings space, little has changed over the past years. Jay Leno's Tonight Show on NBC beats David Letterman's Late Show on CBS regularly, and Conan O'Brien's Late Night on NBC beats Craig Ferguson's Late Late Show on CBS all the time.
But things are changing. Last week marked the first time ever that Craig Ferguson's chit-chat show drew more viewers than Conan O'Brien's show over a weeklong period of original episodes.
Over the period, Late Late Show averaged 1.88 million viewers versus Late Night's average crowd of 1.77 million viewers, according to statistics from Nielsen Media Research. Conan kept his lead among the key demographics, however, taking a larger portion of the highly sought after 18-49 age group.
Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson can be seen during the week at 12:35 a.m. on CBS.

okay well i love craig Ferguson's show it is hilarious!!
Every show i find myself laughing and laughing.He does laugh at his own jokes though, but thats only because he knows that some of the stuff he says is stupid and he can't believe he said that. And his sketches are funny because they sometimes laugh in them. He's just a goof ball!!! And I love his accent it reminds me of Shrek!! Conan O'Brien i think is a little weird but when i do watch his show i laugh. But he's weird.
I've been watching him for over a year and in that time, I've got both my sisters watching the show. My evening is not complete until I watch the 'naughty Scotsman'. Have you seen his movie Saving Grace. Want to laugh, see this movie.
If you get the opportunity to go out to Southern California, get tickets and go to Craig's show. You will not regret it. Very personable and you never know who may be a guest on the show. I went to two tapings last year. My facial muscles took a few days to quit hurting from laughing so hard. Just remember not to let out any flatulence as there are microphones above you as well as under the seats... ;)
Wow... surprising, like really surprising. Craig Ferguson was funny on the Drew Carey show. That funny didn't translate to his late night show. I found myself spacing out and even... yes yawning @ some points of the show. No offence to him though. I'm an avid fan of Conan O'Brian. Go O'Brian conqueror the late night world. Conan is good, a little too rude for my taste. I love Craig. His sense of humor runs parallel to mine. Good going Craig. (I just wonder what happened to the 'Cow of Time'. He hasn't been seen since Wolfgang Puck showed up with 'mini-burgers'. Did the eat him? %D
Both of these guys are great! Now, when are they gonna start broadcasting Craig's show in HD?I actually watch all four of these shows. Hooray for DVRs!
I used to like Conan but he isn't as good and Craig Ferguson laughs at his own jokes, and he isn't very good at sketches but I still like Ferguson. I still like O'brian too, but I don't really watch either I'm out on the weekends and if I'm up on week nights I'M watching something else.
I can see how Leno would be Letterman, Letterman hasn't been good since NBC or maybe the first few years at CBS.
Conan's the best talk show host out there...extremely funny
I like them both actually. But I have to give the edge to Craig right now. Why? He's more entertaining, you never know what he's going to do and he appears in sketchs wearing costumes (funny stuff).
He's developed some awesome characters (Prince Charles, Aquaman, Sean Connery and the perveted elevator man to name a few).
He's willing to do whatever it takes to get a laugh.Also, Dave and Jay seem to have lost interest.
I've only been into Craig as Mr. Wick. Conan is the best late-night talk show host by far.
I've been a fan of Craig's ever since he was Roddy MacStew on Freakazoid, but always found his talk show to be slightly lacking.
Conan, on the other hand...let's just say that the WGA strike was probably the best thing to happen to Conan in a long while, and I haven't even watched his show since it ended.
i like them both. i dont like how conan interviews people but i like his acts on the show. craig is a bit more professional.

I know it's weird but this week I have been watching Craig and not Conan. I just haven't been feeling like i'm up to Conan for some reason even though he's cool.

I seem to recall seeing this new "first time" news once before. I think it was something along the lines of this time last year.
Conan was way better during the strike when he had to come up with his own material. Now that the writers are back it kinda sucks. Ferguson's hilarious because he's more improvisational and he has an awesome accent.
It's great to see people have a little taste! I got into Ferguson over the summer and he's hilarious!
i dont watch either but have seen craig on other thing and prefer him to conan
both shows are good but i think Conan loses on his unnatural monologues which most of the time falls flat... But those monologue are written by writers and not himself and Craig does his monologue more like a stand up rutine
Craig Ferguson's show is a lot funnier. IMO, Conan is kind of annoying. He seems very arrogant. Craig Ferguson hasn't been the host all that long so I can see why it's making news.

Um....so was there anything special about the episode? I mean, this is kind of "whoop-de-doo" kind of news......if anything it makes the Late Late Show look kind of bad, this long and it's the first time they have done it? and it's news worthy?
