The Late Late Show host Craig Ferguson has launched a production company with hopes of tapping young talent for TV comedies.
Ferguson said the production foray was a natural extension of his job as a host of a late-night talk show.
"You meet everybody," he said. "You get to see every actor who is doing stuff, and you get to see the younger comedians on their way up. That is a natural symbiosis."
Ferguson said he draws inspiration from CBS's other late-night host, David Letterman, whose Worldwide Pants banner has a strong track record producing such series as Everybody Loves Raymond, Ed, and Ferguson's show.
Ferguson's company, Green Mountain West Incorporated, has entered a one-year deal with CBS Paramount Network TV. It includes a first-look component for sister network CBS, which carries Ferguson's late-night show.

I was stranded in Taiwan for almost two years because of an Intercontinental Hotel and now that I am home in Canada, I am being ignored for trying to resolve this situation. I have called organization after organization, including government offices, labour boards, foreign affairs and no one knows where to send me for assistance. wrongful termination

I have been trying to negotiate and get somewhere with this case, but Intercontinental Hotel head offices have just ignored me. I contacted H.R. within Intercontinental and the woman was very nice and tried to offer me assistance. She called back the next day and mentioned that she was also ignored when she tried to find out information concerning this situation. The hotel in Taiwan was managed by Intercontinental and I have solid proof of wrong doing on their part, but they have NOTHING on me, because I have never done anything wrong, nothing!!
I am back in Canada now, and life is tough because my credit is screwed. It was absolutely impossible for me to pay minimums for my debt after being forced into a financial situation, so I can't even get an apartment now. An answer I get from most is 'get a lawyer'. Well, being forced into financial burden, and trying to rebuild what I have lost, paying for a lawyer is next to impossible. I am trying to get documentation to show my creditors that I have done nothing wrong, but inorder to get documenation, I need to contact Intercontinental Hotels, who are ignoring me. I believe they don't know what to do, because they have no trace of myself doing anything wrong, so all they can do is be silent and hope I go away. Giving up and moving on is not an option because living dollar to dollar, day to day with my fiance is not attractive or fair to her or myself, especially when I have nothing wrong to deserve this. This postion at the hotel was as solid as you can get. I had a 6 month contract with Holiday Inn, a work visa with Taiwan government, documentation through my College because it was a co-op placement and everything was legit and legal!!

And I have a feeling that, with the passing of time, "Green Mountain West, Inc." will co-produce Craig's "LATE LATE SHOW" as well, just as Conan O'Brien's "CONOCO" production outfit {with Broadway Video and NBC} does "LATE NIGHT". The measure of being a success in late-night TV is when you own a chunk of your very own show, as well as star in it [Carson started this tradition, of course]. Mr. Ferguson is about to reap the fruits of his hard work and popularity after almost two years on the air....and he deserves it! Now, if there were a bigger budget for his hair grooming.....
