Crappy Wonder Woman Clips Finally Make it Online

Call your mom and tell her you love her, kiss the ground you are blessed to walk on, and count your blessings, because fans of quality TV dodged a HUGE bullet. Clips of NBC's Wonder Woman have finally surfaced online and they are glorious in their crapitude. Word on the street was the pilot, which was picked up by NBC after every network passed on it despite its pedigree of a famous superhero and a famous writer (David E. Kelley) behind it, was horrible. From what we've seen from these clips, word on the street was dead on.

[UPDATE] It was a good run, but as you can see, three of these clips have been taken down. Hope you got a look at them while they were around!

Keep in mind these clips still had a lot post-production work to go, but the visible wires and MS Paint computer graphics only enhance the cheesiness. Advice: Start all the videos now so you don't have to sit through the same Bud Light ad over and over.

Clip One: This one starts off great if your idea of great is quick close-ups of someone running and someone else running. Wonder Woman (Adrianne Palicki) is chasing a bald-headed freak through the streets of Los Angeles while several people get shoved to the ground and a news reporter in a chopper sets the whole thing up with the dullest dialogue ever. There's a title card, and then it cuts to a later scene in which Wonder Woman fights a mix between Under Armor fashion models and rejects from Michael Jackson's "Beat It" video.

Clip Two: We see Wonder Woman get into her predicament that the above clip jumped into halfway through. Watch how strong she is when she opens the shutter door! This will leave everyone saying, "Que diabos?"

Clip Three: Wonder Woman, in full outfit, makes a hospital visit to her pal Willis. The writers really want to make sure that you know his name is Willis, Willis. Oh great, now she's got me doing it, too.

Clip Four: This is pure comedic gold. Gold, I tell you! The show wasn't just about Wonder Woman, it was also about her alter-ego Diana Prince, who runs a company that does who-knows-what but makes a ton of cash by selling Wonder Woman dolls and other tchotchkes. "I never said to merchandise my tits!" will be a rallying cry for the feminist movement from here on.

Is there any way we can start a save-the-show campaign for this?

I can understand them not taking it town but why would they put a link to it on an article published today? The only reason someone would click on the link would be to see the clips which are no longer up and can't be found (as far as I can tell) anywhere else.

oh my GOD! Seriously, when are you going to take this article down. The clips were taken down ages ago. Does tv.com update it's site on a regular basis anymore?

Good call for trashing this. lol

Wao, the pilot sucks, the actress looks good, some action scene too (Of course not the part when she almost fly or bend the metal like paper), but still they had something, the thing that killed the show was that crappy story, the company named after her homeland, the extremely sad love story, "The plane" (really, couldn't be more disappointing) and of course the dialogs..blah,blah,blah.. geez.. in other words. Well i think that they can try again, creating another believable story (if possible not the same writers).

It's easy enough to find if you know the wrong places to look but you're not going to find it streaming if that's what you're looking for.

Still looks better than the Cape.

This just wasn't Wonder Woman, it was more along the lines of the 1974 TV movie than anything. This could've been any female made into a superhero, but calling it Wonder Woman was a stretch! Although this wasn't as bad as the really short Wonder Woman pilot from 1967!

It's obvious that people are still interested in this show. They should air the pilot and let ratings determine the show's future.

This can't possibly win. Superheroes need more than cleavage to be super. They need a package to beat all! ;o)

(I'm still shallow after all! YES!)
Reply
Flag
Yes they need more than a cleavage, but if they don't look good in the suit, if the suit just looks so darn wrong, then the series has no hope of ever working.

Apparently the full pilot has been leaked online today.

yes. the full pilot is available online - and for what it's worth mentioning - the people are grabbing it like it's hot.

I'm getting a copy as we speak, to add to my failed comic book to tv series collection, this includes stuff from DC & Marvel.

David E. Kelly should be thoroughly ashamed. Padaleki is young and sexy so she'll be fine, but Kelly, who pretty much cornered the market in legal drama/comedy with some good medical shows thrown in should have stuck to what he knew! Having said that, I suppose sometimes you want to write something new, but this was never good fit from the start. It makes me wonder if he watched the original and looked back with some sentimentality when deciding to create it! I hope he now turns his full attention back to Harry's Law, which is what he's good at, a law show that's combines drama and comedy in perfect harmony.

Palicki was the wrong choice for the role, they should've went with someone who actually has the Amazonian look; also better writers may have helped as well and maybe not screwing with the costume like they did, what were they thinking originally when the costume was all shiny!

They should just release the pilot episode online, and be done with it!

Wow, shallowness and xenophobia (you'll understand when u see it).

Talk about deep down the toilet quality. I know not everyone can be as good as Christopher nolan but do they have to be that awful ! Do you really need to be that self conglaturatory ? So pethetique !

some ppl are misreadng what i said.i said the show didnt get pick up not so b/c it was bad but b/c fans didnt like the outfit.that lead to ppl to talk bad about the show before they ewven saw it.then then nbc got scarde and yake it.just like maagie q said u cant have a women running in the street in panties or whatever.i liked the outfit but alot of ppl didnt.last i hceck an outfit dont make a show but to some ppl they turned them off about the show from the street.anyway i thought the clips were okay and post production could have fixed them and yes i would rather watch this than some of this crappy azz reality shows they have on tv now.all this scifi shows and others are getting cancelled for reality crap.

Trust me...it's not JUST because of her outfit. And, while I'm going to respect your opinion assuming that post production could have fixed it, I might add, post production doesn't take away terrible writing, terrible wardrobe (from EVERYONE), derivative and unoriginal scenarios, and, let's face it, really bad acting. Post production would have helped to hide the wires and maybe better edits...but there was nothing to work with. Nothing to build upon. I will agree, however, that reality TV blows.

I'm glad I saw them before they were taken down, they were hilariously horrible.

They should just spend the money on carrying on with Stargate.

her Tiara also needs to not look so plastic....

I liked it....fight scenes to me were great. The rope needs to be toned down a bit in color cause you can tell its a computer. If they set the right tone on that it can be passable. I like it, they make her seem stronger!

Wheres the Wonder Woman music?
Reply

The director of photography, whoever he was, needs to learn a few things. During the fights scenes he wouldn't stay on the same camera for more than 2 seconds. I started getting dizzy.

@jack756

So you seriously think the costume will make or break this show? are watching the same thing? Post-production will not change a whole lot. Dialogue? Cheesyness? Do you think The Dark Knight and Batman Begins would have worked with this amount of cheesyness? do you? Also people need to stop lowering the bar! "its not worse than anything else on tv"?? are you insane? Breaking bad, game of thrones, The walking dead, justified? Yes its not worse than the cape or smallville. But do you honestly think those shows should be the measure for good TV?
Reply

Also - @jack756 you must either have a HUGE crush on Adrianne Palicki, or suffer from delusional psychosis, because this show is so amazingly terrible it makes The Cape look like the Dark Knight. There is no defending this show, it looks bad, i mean really really bad, and no post production changes could have fixed it. Finally, if anybody can find more of these clips, or even better, the entire pilot, please send me a message through TV.com with the link. Tim I thank you for the privilege to view this glorious craptitude.

My god, if this show actually aired it would have set back the feminist movement 50 years. My favorite line other than the obvious "I never said to merchandise my tits!", was "I wish I had broken something, so you could sign my cast". That is just so magnificently, spectacularly, and wondrously BAD!

wow... that looks like rubbish.

Maybe the costume is a faithful adaptation from the comics but to me it just looks and feels wrong. Also the whip acton looks as cheesey as when The Cape would do it. Maybe setting it in a "real life" scenerio was the problem and had they gone with an origin tale, set on the Island with other Amazonians then her dress-up wouldn't look so out of place. Take the Legend of the Seeker clothings and setting, functional and darn sexy and a little scary at times. Whereas the WW look, with stars on her crotch, is clunky, unsexy, too revealing and akin to a fancydress costume.

i dont know if its me or what but i actually like the clips.im sure they could have fixed some of the stuff up since it still had post production work to be down.i find it sad that my generations will never see wonder woman.(i refuse to watch the old wonder woman after my mom got me to watch a couple of eps.i found the show hard to watch b/c everythign look so fake.i guess b/c the show is from my mom times lol its just to old for my taste)i wish all those crybabies would have waited to see this show first then past judgement.they passed judgment before they even saw it b/c of the outfit.last i check the outfit dont make a show.im just saying i think the show could have been good but didnt see the light of day b/c too many ppl complain about something they havent seen and if u didnt like the show dont watch.its like ppl dont know how to change the channel or something.oh well i guess another show wont be seen by my generation.abc better not do that to charlies angels or i will blow a va

What strikes me more than anything is how uncomfortable "WW" looks in her costume. She has the same pained expression that 5-year-olds have when forced to wear a tie for the family photo. If the star feels foolish and awkward every time she's onscreen, they're something wrong with the outfit.

lol it was pretty bad. it wasn't super awful but it definitly wasn't good. of course the show would of needed to air like after ncis and get alot of views for them to even consider keeping it on.
