The network known for hot young actresses and hot young models is developing a pair of shows about hot young actresses and hot young models. Genius!!!
From Ashton Kutcher's production company, Katalyst Films, comes The Beautiful Life and Chloe Gamble--two shows which should fit in nicely into The CW's portfolio of oversexed young 'uns--reports Variety.
The Beautiful Life takes a look at the modeling world in New York City and is based on the real-life accounts of model-turned-author Adam Giaudrone. The show will follow a 22-year-old male looker who definitely isn't headed to the runways of Milan and a 15-year-old girl who is being hyped as the next centerpiece for the Victoria's Secret catalog, and detail the darker side of modeling.
One note of interest about The Beautiful Life--former Jericho showrunner Carol Barbee will executive produce the show. From apocalyptic drama to model-yptic drama!
In Chloe Gamble, a former Texas beauty queen makes the move to Los Angeles where she attempts to pursue an acting career and get all kinds of famous. Things obviously don't work out, as the show is told in the form of flashbacks from the perspective of an older Chloe who isn't a star.
Like a pair of other CW shows--Gossip Girl and Privileged--Chloe Gamble is based on a set of young-adult novels which are due out soon.
Well...is The CW getting predictable with its programming? Or is this just the sort of stuff you hate to admit you love and watch anyway?

Ohhh BTW, let me guess she will be the 15-year old model...
Wel I think it'll be a great show.. As they say it's about models. And since there are some issues in the modelling world (to skinny girls) it would be good to make a show of it. But only if they show what the modelling world is doing to those young girls. Actually, Mischa Barton wouldn't be a good fit in a show about models. Because she already looks like one, walkes, talkes and I guess eats like one. Don't get me wrong, I loooove Mischa. (so sorry if you don't really understand, I'm dutch so my English isn't that good.)
Guess I'm too old to find this even remotely interesting.
Haven't we seen it before? CW should come up with something different.
More of the same = Boring.
I like Gossip Girl and Privileged but don't need more of the same. Let's have something fresh and new.
I agree. CW needs to mix it up.
CW, here's a new word for your vocabulary: variety.
I like GG and OTH. So maybe these two will be worth watching too, well... maybe.Still say they need a new superhero show to follow Smallville.
Sorry dont see the appeal in either of them. The CW should really try to be a bit more creative.
God, GG is there only hit in this genre it just flows! However, 90210 is completely forced and Priveleged just plain sucks! Why don't they spend more time developing shows that can actually happen to a normal gal! I know its a wee far fetched but some of us still like a REGULAR drama about REGULAR people!
They all seem bland to me.
I'm interested in The Beautiful Life. That looks interesting, but Chloe Gamble seems bland.
I love watching Gossip Girl and Privileged and stuff but can't the CW create shows about NORMAL looking people with NORMAL lives? For a network aiming for a teen demographic, they're really misrepresenting what it means to be a regular teen in today's world.
Great more junk. The ONLY show they have on worth anything is "Supernatural" and since it doesn't fit their lame mold they treat it like it's nothing. Sad and makes me wonder WHY they're suprised that the CW is a sinking ship. It keeps running itself into all these icebergs what do they expect to happen? The teen sex drama died in the 90's, leave it there people.
I'll try Chloe Gamble provided the actresses are hot and the story is good.
Ugh.......
Pass on both!
