One of the best stints a celebrity can participate in to polish up their luster is ABC's Dancing with the Stars. Provided the contestant doesn't completely bungle their performance and make an early exit, they're guaranteed a fresh set of eyes and plenty of discussion in newspapers and entertainment shows for the duration of their run.
The eighth season of Dancing with the Stars gets going March 9, but the real hubbub surrounding the show will start this Sunday. During ABC's regular Sunday night block of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Desperate Housewives, and Brothers & Sisters, Dancing with the Stars host Tom Bergeron will announce the names over the course of the evening. ABC.com will also list the names off as they are announced.
Of course, this will all be done East Coast time, so other time zones can just check ABC.com to find out who the next Brooke Burke could be.
One star who will have a shot at taking the season eight crown is Jackass jackass Steve-O, according to OK Magazine and other online reports. Steve-O, known for his daring stunts on the MTV do-not-try-this-at-home hit series, is fresh off a four-month stint at rehab and is reportedly committed to living a healthy life, which apparently includes dancing.
