Beverly D'Angelo, George Wendt, and Paula Cale have joined the cast of the TBS romantic comedy pilot Imperfect Union.
The project, set at a switch factory, centers on a young woman (Ashley Williams) who just took over the job as shop steward from her retired father and a young man (Zachary Levi) who just took over as head of the factory from his father.
D'Angelo will portray Maizy, the socialite mom to Levi's character, while Wendt will portray Duke, the blue-collar dad to Williams' character. Cale has been cast as Carly, the secretary/assistant to Levi's character.
The project is based on an idea by former Will & Grace star Eric McCormack and Michael Forman, his partner in Big Cattle Prods., both of whom are executive producing.
D'Angelo's recent credits include HBO's Entourage and NBC's Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Wendt, best known for his role as a barfly on Cheers, next appears in ABC Family's Santa Baby. Cale's recent credits include Fox's House and NBC's Twenty Good Years.
