The launch of Melbourne's Spring Fashion Week has brought some heat and star power to the rainy city, with the announcement that starlet Dannii Minogue is the event's ambassador this year.
The singer-turned-fashion-designer took time out of her busy schedule as a new mum to help launch the event in her home town of Melbourne on Tuesday.
Wearing one of her own designs from her new label Project D, the Australia's Got Talent judge said she was honoured to take on the role.
"Fashion is something that takes up a lot of my time, between juggling a baby and TV commitments, but it's something that I am very passionate about," she said at the launch.
"I'm honoured to be a part of it."
Lord Mayor Robert Doyle has also announced Melbourne model Sophie Van Den Akker as the face of the Spring Fashion Week, which will see more than 150 events that are expected to attract 100,000 people.
Melbourne Spring Fashion Week runs from September 5 to September 11.
