MTV is bringing back some of your favorite '90s shows to launch a new network, MTV Classic.

On Thursday, MTV announced that it will rebrand VH1 Classic as MTV Classic, which will focus primarily on music programming and MTV series from the '90s and early 2000s. The change will take effect on Aug. 1, MTV's 35th anniversary. To celebrate, MTV Classic will air MTV Hour One, the network's first hour of programming from 1981, before showing a Total Request Live retrospective and a marathon of MTV Unplugged.

MTV Classic will also air old episodes of Daria, Beavis & Butt-head, Aeon Flux, Run's House, Pimp My Ride, Cribs, Jackass, Punk'd, Wonder Showzen, Clone High and more, Mondays through Thursdays from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. On the weekends, fans can catch marathons of The Real World, Laguna Beach, Road Rules and other fan-favorite series.

Will you watch MTV Classic?

I probably won't watch Daria, I own the complete series DVD so TV airings are pretty pointless for me... but I'm all for revisiting Clone High.

The schedule for the first week is out, and the B&B episodes they're airing are from the 2011 season. It's a great season, but it makes me wonder if they've lost the rights to air the older episodes as they appeared (with the videos).

That, and Clone High is listed under the title "Clone High Rescore." If that doesn't mean the music has been replaced, what else could it mean?

If syndicated episodes of old TV shows like WKRP can air the way they originally sounded, why can't these?

Will I watch it? Ummm, no.
I have a really crazy idea though, how about they create a music video channel that just plays music videos. I mean, you can have different shows that focus on different eras and genres, but spare me the stupid cartoon shows and other nonsense that effectively killed MTV in the first place.
