Dennis Miller, Joe Mantegna, and Lauren Tom have joined the cast of Bonnie Hunt's untitled ABC comedy pilot.
Hunt stars as a newly divorced woman who works as a detective. Miller will play Dr. Langley, the woman's therapist, while Mantegna will play Jack, her ex-husband.
Both roles originally were intended as guest-starring, but Hunt is said to have persuaded the two to stay on as regulars if the project goes to series.
Tom will play the role of Beverly, and Don Lake, who wrote the script with Hunt, will also costar.
Comedian Miller most recently hosted his own talk show on CNBC. Mantegna recently costarred on CBS's Joan of Arcadia and in the movie The Kid & I. Tom played Ross' girlfriend, Julie, in a handful of second-season Friendsepisodes.
Hunt was last on ABC in Life with Bonnie, which ran for two seasons. She was recently in theaters with Cheaper by the Dozen 2.
Sounds like Bonnie Hunt is really working hard to get a good cast. Even if some people don't like these actors, they all have a good fan base.
Bonnie Hunt must know where a lot of bodies are buried. Every show she's done has been a bomb yet somehow they keep giving her another. It doesn't compute but what does in Hollywood?
Dennis Miller is a rotten fake. He will only sink this show deeper. Lets me know what kind of person Bonnie must be is all. Ill stick with Still Standing and Freddie. Dennis Miller the exact reason i wont give this a show another minute of my time.
