Desperate Housewives: Battle Scars

Wisteria Lane is turning into a very angry place, isn't it? On Sunday's episode of Desperate Housewives, "The Ballad of Booth," things got really violent! There was the rage-filled threat from Sam (Sam Page) to Bree (Marcia Cross), the rage-filled threat from Patrick (John Barrowman) to Angie (Drea de Matteo), the rage-filled threat from Eddie (Josh Zuckerman) to Lynette (Felicity Huffman)—well, you get the idea. There was a lot of rage. And to top it off, we don't know what's going to happen to Lynette! She's pregnant! She's locked in a Hoarders-esque house with the Fairview Strangler! What, pray tell, will she do?

Not to be a Spoiler Sally, but I'm pretty sure she's going to live. I haven't heard anything about Felicity Huffman leaving the show. By that, I mean Desperate Housewives will continue forever (and, to paraphrase the Fug Girls, Mary Alice Young's voice will haunt me for all eternity). Unless Hollywood has gotten really good at keeping secrets, we can breathe easy—though Bun-Remaining-in-the-Oven Scavo might not be so lucky. I do hope that Lynette manages to go all Uma Thurman on Eddie's ass in next week's season finale. It's unlikely, but a girl can dream, right?

Speaking of dreaming, I wish I could say that Angie were going to stick around for awhile. Drea de Matteo is one of my favorite actresses on TV, but her time on the Lane is ticking. (Kinda like that bomb she was building.) Patrick has the crazy eyes and, while I initially thought he was too much of a pretty-boy to also be a cold-blooded killer, I'm pretty sure he is is going to go all Uma Thurman on at least one Bolen next week. But who?

While you're pondering that question, you should also consider this: The real drama on Wisteria Lane might actually be moving off it. And what an interesting twist that would be! As we found out on Sunday, Mike's (James Denton) financial problems are so serious that the Delfinos are most likely going to rent out their house and shack up in a small apartment near Susan (Teri Hatcher) and M.J.'s (Mason Vale Cotton) school. It's the perfect way to end the season because it opens up so many doors for the next one: Who will move into their house? Will Susan and Mike's marriage survive the move? Will the distance affect the housewives' close friendships?

Only one thing is certain, folks. Gaby (Eva Longoria Parker) has all my votes for Fairview's Funniest. Quote of the week: "I will dry their tears with dollar bills."

What did you think of the episode? And what do you think will happen in next week's season finale?

That whole Bolen family is totally obnoxious, so goodbye and good riddance to all three. When Patrick
gets through taking care of business with them, maybe he'll take out crazy, creepy Eddie AND crazy, sleezy Sam, as well. And, could Lynette be any more
clueless??! As a professional woman, she is as sharp as a tack, but the minute she gets home, she
absolutely gets as dense as a stump. Having said that, I sure hope she gets out of the situation with
Creepazoid okay. Maybe she will go into labor and scare Nutso away - ha!

John Barrowman is great. He's the only thing in Desperate Housewives atm that I am loving (ok maybe the possibility of less of Terri Hatcher too).

I have to say that as much as I hate this show, I do like that John Barrowman is getting more exposure in a show with such a wide audience. That being said, I also hate that he's on a show like this.
