Desperate Housewives' Most Memorable Character Deaths (VIDEO)

For a suburban enclave, Wisteria Lane is a lot more dangerous than it looks. In fact, so many characters have died over the course of Desperate Housewives' eight seasons that we couldn't help but reminisce over some of the show's more memorable "demises." So here are our some of our favorites... in all their grisly glory!

Morbid as it is to ask, which Desperate Housewives character death was your favorite?

Desperate Housewives' series finale airs Sunday, May 13 at 9pm on ABC.

Hmm..... Nora and Rex. One sudden and unexpected, another had been building up for an entire season...

When I heard they were going to kill off a character this season, I had ruled out Mike entirely. I didn't think Marc Cherry would tear Mike and Susan apart after spending the better part of the past 8 seasons trying to get them together. Susan has been through hell in the romance department. He should have let them just grow old.

I refuse to believe Mike is dead. I seriously think he's coming back in the finale.

Oh, and I forgot to answer the question: Gotta be Martha Huber. The busybody gets taken down. (Sidenote: as a classical musician who gets sick of hearing the same thing over and over and over and over, can someone please create a montage/commercial/trailer that DOESN'T use "O Fortuna" from Orff's "Carmina Burana"?!?!? Please?!?)

I totally hear you on the music. We were hemmed in by not really having the budget to license anything, so when we found a free version of "O Fortuna" it kind of selected itself...

THIS. Is the kind of reasoning that I can get behind. Even if it's not my favourite thing, at least it's understood. Music these days isn't cheap, what with people wanting proper restitution for use of intellectual property. Geesh, people.

(Also, thanks for the explanation, as it was in no way owed, but very appreciated.)

Has been one of my favourite satiric shows of all time. Though it clearly isn't quite as good now as it was out of the gates, I still love this show and will miss it when it goes. "DH Nights" (yes, me and my friends built a night around it and went so far as to nickname them) will be missed.

I remember when it started, I always loved the show. So addictive and good yet it had great writing and acting. I also liked the mix between comedy and drama and the fact that every season had a different mystery that managed to make it interesting each season. Granted, some mysteries were better than others and while I do agree it certainly isn't as a good as it used to be, I'll always remember the show and miss when it when it goes. Can't wait for the 2 hour series finale.

That being said, damn a lot people have died in this show. To answer the question, its gotta be Martha Hubber, as it was so exciting and juicy.

I felt really bad when Mike Delfino died, even tough I stoped watching Desperate Housewives a long time ago, it was very unexpected. My favourite is the one from Victor Lang or Mary Alice Young.
