Pushing Daisies actress Swoosie Kurtz causes a stir this week when she guest-stars in American drama Desperate Housewives.
Kurtz's character Jessie creates confusion when she misinterprets the kindness of her new colleague Susan, who'd invited her round for a girl's night in. Believing there was more to it Jessie makes a move on her new friend, leaving Susan rather bemused.
Curious as to what kissing another woman feels like, Gaby (Eva Longoria) decides to follow Jessie's lead, planting a kiss on the single mum to determine whether Jessie's advances had been casual or something more.
The episode, entitled The Story of Lucy and Jessie, isn't the only guest-appearance where Kurtz has made an impression. Having starred in ER and Lost the actress has been approached by the makers of Heroes and asked to star in their sci-fi show too.
The 64 year-old is scheduled to make her Heroes debut in the US later this month, where she will play an old friend to superhero mum Angela Petrelli (Cristine Rose). The episode is expected to show in the UK later this year.
Kurtz's Desperate Housewives appearance can be seen on E4 this Wednesday, April 15, at 10pm.
