Disney Channel has picked up two live-action pilots from some of the creatives behind its two top-rated series, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and Hannah Montana.
Housebroken, a spin-off of Zack and Cody, centers on the character of Arwin the handyman, who moves in with his sister to take care of her kids. The actor portraying the recurring role of Arwin on Suite Life is Brian Stepanek.
The project is from Danny Kallis and Irene Dreayer, who are executive producers on Suite Life, and Pamela Eells, who has written for the show.
The other pilot, The Amazing Hannigans, centers on a family in New York that owns an old-fashioned magic shop where, behind the scenes, the kids can do real magic.
The project is from Todd J. Greenwald, a consulting producer on Hannah Montana.
Suite Life, starring Dylan and Cole Sprouse as twins living in a suite at an upscale hotel, was Disney Channel's number one series with kids 6-11 and tweens 9-14 until Hannah Montana premiered in March. Hannah stars Miley Cyrus as a teen whose classmates have no idea that she leads a double life as a pop singer managed by her dad (Cyrus' real-life father, 1990's country star Billy Ray Cyrus).

The only exception is that that Hanigans show is called The Wizards Of Waverly Place coming this October. I cant wait!!

ike to make a few things clear one the show is not called the amazing hannigans it's called the wizards of waverly place and two Arwin is not happening turned out it got canelled because selena gomez is doing the wizarsds of waverly place so how an she be a lead in two tv shows at the same time? plus they only made one episode and it was over so I don't think arwin is going to happen and yes the show is called arwin not housebroken.I've heard a lot of rumors about a spin off to the suite life and my favorite rumor by far is I heard that the spin off might be ss tipton which dylan and cole and phill lewis would be back I really hope it happens.I'm alre4ady devestated that the suite life ended because to me it was the best show on disney channelmoreless

I don't know about the Suite Life spin off but the other show sounds really good I can't wait for both premeire.

Disney Channel always comes up with seemingly cheesy ideas that are actually pretty cool! I hope these new shows follow that trend...
I love the suite life! and i think the spinoff will be bad..the other one i just may watch...but again we don't really know...there could be a season 4...and i hope that the sprouse twins make another one of there own shows!!! i love them to the ends of the world! and i hope that we get a 4th season! i know season 3 is a definate...aptitude was awsome!!! It was the best ever! well i hate arwin for 1....i think he should leave in season 3.. i also hate all the episodes with arwin in them...although he was funny in "Birdman in boston"....i though he was very funny in that one! And i think arwin is a bad rolemodle for "Little kids" on account of him always hurting himself! im very opinioated about this show! on account that im obsessed with it!moreless

I only watch the suite ife for maddie and london but arwin uhh no. oh yeah hey for people that agree with me i heard disney reps patrol the boards about things and take them into consideration before making series picks. also i think they should cancel naturally sadie i mean dont they just play that one day a week and not on a good slot? This is going to be hilarious! If Brian Stepanek plays just like he did in TSL then I'm going to love the show! The Amazing Hannigans sounds like a really cool show too. Kind of like Now You See It...

its a nice comedy serial i have ever seen my friends also like this serial all of the actors do a good job.
whatever they do with the spin off it should air the episode on TSLOZAC prior to airing the new spinoff I didn't like that CITH aired before TSR showed it firstAshley Tisdale and Brenda Song are launching their own careers and don't need to be tied down to a sitcom contract as well

Yes! I want them to do this because I love the show! This is so great, but a little weird because why would they focus on Arwin? I think they should focus on people like Zack and Cody's friends or someone like that. It would be different if they focus on Arwin because then the show would be the first one to ever to focus on an adult character. I think the show would be great and funny just like The Suite Life right now. Arwin is a really funny character, so I think that this is a great idea to make a new spin-off show. This would be so awesome!

Why? A spinoff on the Suite life. The show is doing great, it doesn't need a spinoff, especially when the show is about the dorky handyman arwin. He's not funny at all. What Disney Channel needs is new original series that rock like Hannah Montana, not spinoffs or shows from different countries like Life with Derek. Just go slow on the new shows. Also bring back the magic on the channel because it seems to have lost it.

The one with Arwin will bust after the first season. Cancelled after the second. Personally, I would like a spin-off centerd around Maddie or London and her Father. Also, A spin-off with Mosby would be good too. However, one with Arwin, yeah right.
The spin-off shows on Disney Channel are a good idea. There should be a wider variety of shows for teens to watch. Also, if the channel is geared specifically twords teens, a new channel should be created to keep all of Disney Channel's sitcoms and animated shows on. There should also be more actors on the new shows that are familiar to teens so that they dont think the other actors arent funny.
i love the suite life! it totally rocks. same with hannah montana, she is wicked pretty. dylan and cole sprouse are also soo hot
Arwin isn't my favorite character, but another spin-off on Disney Channel! Ya! Hopefully it'll be good. The other one is Corey in the House from That's So Raven.

To TV.com to Disney Channel I got three words for the spin off, nooooooooo spin off or at least make the show about London and Maddie getting along as they go or maybe on Esteban and his life, but not Arwin. Arwin is funny and all, but not exactly LOL funny, make the change of the show while you still can.

Actually ac1983fan, there hasn't been an official announcement about the fate of <i>Housebroken</i>. They have already shot the pilot episode for the show.

I hate the ones with Arwin. I find them boring and redundant. I mean, we get that he has a crush on Carrie, and we get that he's a bad handyman. We don't need an entire show devoted to that. It's going to be like the spin-off "Joey," but way worse. Joey was an awesome character on Friends, but the spin-off was just bad.

they shouldn't do the spin-offs, they need more shows that rock as much as Hannah Montana and suite life, i'm going to either be a director or a writer one day, so i have a lot of ideas, i also know wut sucks, like these spin-offs
