Disney is developing the hit Japanese reality TV game show Run for Money for US and international markets.
Described as a high-tech game of hide-and-seek, the show features celebrities on the run from a pack of menacing "hunters."
Disney's Buena Vista Productions, together with Fujisankei Communications International, plans to shop it in the United States to broadcast networks initially with an eye on a primetime slot.
"The current marketplace calls for shows that will be talked about, and Run for Money makes a lot of noise," said Gwynne Thomas, executive vice president at Buena Vista Productions. "It is a huge spectacle in a high-energy environment with lots at stake."
The show, originally broadcast on Fujisankei's corporate parent Fuji Television, became a hit when it was broadcast in 2004 and 2006 as a series of late-night specials.
The show will be produced by Scott Messick's Mess Media, the forces behind Oxygen's Fight Girls.

Wow.The good kind of Japnaese entertainment is coming here. And hopefully it will have as strong of a fanbase as the American Banzai did.
This looks like the stupidest show ever.
