One witch is replacing another. Shannen Doherty, who starred as a witch on Charmed and a troubled teen in Beverly Hills 90210, will appear as a cohost on the daytime talk show The View.
Doherty will sit in with Barbara Walters and company for two days, July 31 and August 1. The View is featuring a rotating cast of cohosts until a replacement for departed host Star Jones-Reynolds is announced in the fall.
Doherty is also getting set for the premiere of her new reality show on the Oxygen network in August. In the show, titled Breaking Up With Shannen Doherty, Doherty will give breakup advice to people who can't seem to exit a relationship.
Star Jones-Reynolds exited The View in June, at the behest of ABC and Barbara Walters. The result has been an acrimonious public feud.
Pop star Brandy has been filling in for Jones this week. Other guest hosts in the offing include American Idol runner-up Katharine McPhee, Dancing With The Stars winner Kelly Monaco, and Dancing judge Carrie Ann Inaba.

i love the show like everything i have every season im just waiting for the eighth to come out and i heard theres supposed to be a ninth but i dont kno if its true well anyway i just wanted to say i loved the show so much more when shannon doherty was in it. it just seemed more realistic and thats what made me love the show even though i still loved the show with paige but prue was 10 times better
i love the show charmed but i hated it when prue was in it she was a lousy actress and i think paige is way better than prue but the best actress on the show hands down is Piper aka Holly Marie Combs!!!

Have they chosen a new co-hostess for The View, yet? I wouldn't mind seeing a but more of Shannen on network television. It's doubtful, but maybe she'll get the spot and become permanent hostess.
It was a big loss when Shannen Doherty left charmed i liked her character a lot. She is a great actress.

I really wished Shannen hadn't left the charmed episodes. I remember watching my first ever episode, which had Prue in it, and I thoyght she was awesome. When I found out that it was dead old and that paige was the new sisted, I was really annoyed...
I stopped watching "90210" and "Charmed" because Shannen left the shows. She really has presence and she's what makes the show. Deal with it.

Shannen has proven time and time again that she has amazing qualities as an actress and as a television personality. It's just too bad that people don't realize that there has not even been any "controversy" surrounding her in YEARS! Yes, she had some trying times in her early 20's. Who didn't? She's moved on from the drama...
I loved Shannen in Charmed. But that is the only thing i loved her in. I don't even like her in real life. She has issues. I agree that her reality show will bomb and i hate the view anyway so i could care less about that.

She is cute, sassy, has a lot of poise, and helped put great product on the screen in a couple of series. She can really act.<br />
