Fellow nerds, prepare for a most excellent colliding of two worlds. Dollhouse, the anticipated new drama from Buffy creator Joss Whedon, has added a familiar face from another sci-fi galaxy not so far away: Battlestar Galactica.
Starring opposite Eliza Dushku will be Tahmoh Penikett, who plays Karl "Helo" Agathon in the Sci-Fi Channel's critically praised drama. Penikett's character in Dollhouse is an FBI agent obsessed with learning about the Dollhouse, a secret organization that imprints memories and personalities into people to serve missions. Penikett and Dushku will also become romantically entangled on the show.
Also added to the cast was Fran Kranz, who recently headed up Welcome to the Captain. Kranz's character will be a programmer in charge of installing the personalities into the "dolls." With Kranz on board, it looks as if the poorly received Welcome to the Captain is pretty much a lock for cancellation.
Neighbours's hapa actress Dichen Lachman and The Unit guest star Enver Gjokaj have also been cast.
Why must they continuely ax great shows!!! Welcome to the Captain was really great, and now it's gone. Also, BSG should have continued. It has a huge fan base!! They were very stupid to cancel it. No more Starbuck, Anders or Leoben? What will I do. I am REALLY looking forward to seeing Dollhouse, but I agree that FOX will kill it quickly. The same things happened to Fastlane, Firefly, Wonderfalls...need I go on? Those shows were fantastic!!! FOX has gotten a little better recently with giving shows a chance, but I still don't trust them. Quite frankly I can't believe Joss trusted them with another show of his. They better keep this one around, or else I'm swearing off FOX for life. I want them to bring back Back to You and New Amsterdam still, but I know that's not going to happen. Okay, I normally don't respond but I am excited to see Whedon finally return to TV. I miss the CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED and CULT HITS Buffy, Angel and Firefly. These shows showed "maturity" and insight beyond their peers- which have continually imitated their ORIGINAl plot devices. Where else would you find a show with 45 minutes of scripted silence that had viewer and critic alike declaring its wonder? The cast looks promising as well.

Cylon sleeper agents anyone..? another "great" show from joss! original premise...8-) guy should give it a rest, buffy and firefly showed some potential but both were so immature.. tahmoh is great on BSG though, but i liked spike from buffy too.. didn't make it a good show..

Unsure about this show from the description above. But I'll give the pilot a try anyway. Can't say I wont like the show unless I see at least the pilot.

From that picture of Tahmoh Penikett it looks like Tweener from Prison Break. Maybe it's just me. :)
This show is getting me all excited, I can't wait to see how it turns out! I hope all this hype will translate into success because I share the same opinion with many about FOX.

I love the idea of this show already and am REALLY looking forward to it, but i think that this show being in Fox's hands is a REALLY BAD IDEA.
Does anyone remember Tru Calling? Drive? Firefly? Fox has a reputation of axing these kinds of shows without giving them half a chance and then it invests in shows with a monotonous storyline for AGES. I'm sure you know of two shows called Prison Break and 24??...both of which i like but come on!!! Enough with the jail breaks and the terrorism already!!. I think this show will do alot better on CBS leading into one of the CSI's to be honest. Or even on NBC with Heroes as its lead in actually or the other way around. But having a strong show like heros lead in a New show, havnig a similar theme and all - i just see it as a really good fit, but obviously the show has to speak for itself coz if it's aload of Bull people are just gonna change the channel. Being on Fox however is plain old suicide in my oppinion. And all this hype about the show doesn't help either - Take a look at Bionic Woman. People expect too much when a show is heavily publicised so early in the production stages and then they end up being disappointed. I liked Bionic Woman and would have deffinatley given it a chance for a second season to find it's feet (how can 8 eppys have been enough) but seeing as most of the public didnt really see it that way it got cancelled
Call me cynical but I see the same fate happening to Dollhouse, so im not gonna be getting too involved so early on. I'll give it till after Xmas Break and check how the ratings are doing in the mean time. If they're good and its still on air then i'll take that as a good sign and start investing myself in the showmoreless
This is great to start to see some new faces being case. Eliza is wonderful & along with Tahmoh, Fran Kranz. This is definitely on my list of shows for the Fall.
