Prison Break's Dominic Purcell and Desperate Housewives' Jesse Metcalfe have signed up for Town Creek, a vampire thriller from Lost Boys director Joel Shumacher. The pair will play brothers who become locked in a battle with a vampire coven dating to Hitler's Third Reich.
Purcell currently plays escaped convict Lincoln Burrows on the Fox action hit Prison Break. Metcalfe appears as studly gardener John Rowland, underage fling of Eva Longoria's Gabrielle Solis, on ABC's hit Desperate Housewives.
Purcell has had previous experience with vampires--he played one in 2004's Blade: Trinity.
Shumacher directed the 1987 cult classic Lost Boys, which also told the story of brothers fighting vampires. Town Creek is written by Dave Kajganich, who also penned the upcoming Nicole Kidman alien thriller The Invasion. Town Creek has a 2007 release date.

i love him in blade 3 im a big blade fan
sounds like a really lame movie
Meh he shoulda got Keifer back to play a vampire hrrhrr, a vampire jack bauer is the only man capable of stopping Hitlers vampire army.
He was a good vamp in the Blade movie, hopefully he'll be good in this one. I like vamp movies, but most of them kind of suck. There hasn't been a good one in the past couple of years. I really hope this one's good.
It's a movie people. two hotties.. can't get any better then that woo! Jesse is hot, Dominic is hot! Like Vampire stories.. so should be interesting!
cool :)
Ooo dom and vampires, I havent seen blade trinity, didnt know he was in it, I will now hahaha.. This sounds cool, hes great :D
Isn't this the same plot that some college guy mentioned in Orange County??? Vampires and Nazi Germany.
Well this sounds to me like another idea that has the potential to be really good if done the right way, how ever it also has the potential to smell like a rotten pig if its not. A Classic example of this is seen with Angel started really dark and mature and was really good and then as soon as it got toned down to try and increase the ratings by making it more suitable to younger viewers, it started to smell.
I have always loved a good vampire story though so fingers crossed for this one. One good thing it has going for it already is that Lost Boys was awsome!
If the director did a vampure flik in '87 about two brothers... why is he doing one now, almost 20 years later?
It's a movie, what's to last?
This won't last.
He was better on John Doe.
let us not see another shambles like Blade Trinity. I watched it again after Prison Break S1 and had a heart attack when I saw Dominic in it.
Sounds very interesting.
Sounds good, just hope it is.
hmm sounds nice...might be cool and wolfenstein like. And nazi vampires...what could be more evil^^
a nazi blade?
In the new tv show he wasnt a vampire...there is nothing familiar about it other than the fact that two brothers are fighting something Supernatural which is like Supernatural..and the Vampire thing is from Blade and the fact that Joel Schumacher did something similar before my time
First he was a vampire and now he hunts them....sounds familiar :)
Sounds great, not keen on the director tho, but the cast is cool.
dominic purcell is the man, great actor, and vampires!? damn that ought to be cool, i did love blade trinity, and prison break is awesome, so hopefully this will be good
I'll definitely watch this.
John Doe > Prison Break.
Vampires. I'm in.
it be so cool to see him act in soap show
I love Dominic
sound cool cant wait he is so fine
Nazis again, huh? Anybody else out there besides me getting really tired of having cowardly nitwit gen xers haul out Nazis everytime they need a villain? Sf, horror, or drama? Guess what! There are no more Nazis. If you're looking for ideologies that want to destroy Western culture and America, you might try one that actually exists. But I won't hold my breath waiting for a coven of bloodsucking Islamic vampires to pop up anytime soon. It's still too easy to make White guys the source of evil, instead of the people who post videos on the internet of themselves sawing off the heads of unfortunates that cross their paths.
