Downton Abbey Is Renewed for Season 6

It looks like the Crawleys will be sticking around for at least one more year: Downton Abbey has been renewed for a sixth season, the U.K.'s ITV announced Thursday.

The drama's fifth season concludes in the U.K. this Sunday, November 9, and will premiere in the U.S. on Sunday, January 4 on PBS.

"We don't know yet what [creator Julian Fellowes] has planned, but we are looking forward to working with him, the fantastic cast, and Carnival [Films] again and have no doubt series six will be unmissable," ITV's Director of Drama Commissioning, Steve November, said in a statement.

There is, of course, no word yet on whether Season 6 will be the show's last, as has long been speculated

Are you looking forward to more Downton?

I just began watching this show a couple of weeks ago, and I am already caught up! I love it, and look forward to season six, hoping that everyone gets a happy ending. I know that never happens in real life, which is why i love to see it happen on tv whenever possible. :)
