Eric Roberts is joining the cast of NBC's hit Heroes. Roberts will play an associate of mysterious H.R.G. (Horn-Rimmed Glasses).
Roberts starred in the ABC sitcom Less Than Perfect as news anchor Will Butler. He currently has a recurring role on Showtime's series The L Word.
H.R.G., played by Jack Coleman, is a mysterious agent seeking knowledge about the "heroes," regular people who have genetic alterations that give them superpowers. He is the adoptive father of Claire, a teen who has the ability to regenerate herself and is referred to only by his nickname.
Heroes is the highest-rated new show of the 2006-2007 season. The series defended its turf against Fox's hit 24 last night, with an episode that featured the addition of an "invisible man," played by former Doctor Who, Christopher Eccleston.

I would like to think this guy is LINDERMAN!!!!!!
Alsaker85: "Now, I wonder when they will cast the yet-unseen Linderman?"
Perhaps he IS Linderman?
He's always good at playing the slightly creepy guy who may be on either side. A fine addition! :)
Dude he's so cool!!
cool
That's interesting. That makes two Doctor Who alumni. Eccleston played the Ninth Doctor in the revived series and Roberts played The Master in the 1996 TV movie. Should be interesting to see these two on screen together
This show is getting bigger and better. Love it!
I've always enjoyed watching Eric Roberts as an actor, so it will be nice seeing him on one of my favorite shows now, "Heroes".
The most exciting part of this announcement is that we will be learning more about HRG's organization. Now, I wonder when they will cast the yet-unseen Linderman?
he's julia's brother- he's great.
Heroes won the night because it is a better show than 24.
aww I love Eric Roberts. If I didn't watch the show before, I'd say I'm gonna tune in to check him out.
I don't know him :p
Now I have a reason to watch Heroes. Eric Roberts is the best.
