Experience Kanye West's "Hip-Hop Muppet Show" That Never Was (VIDEO)

Once upon a time, Kanye West saw a show on Comedy Central called Crank Yankers, and he really liked it. So he wanted his own Crank Yankers-type show. And since he was Kanye West, and Kanye West is THE BEST! IN THE WORLD! AND CAN HAVE WHATEVER HE WANTS!, he got his show. It was called Alligator Boots, which producers likened to a “hip-hop Muppet Show,” only instead of Kermit the Frog, the star was a rapping pig named Pork Troy who looked like a cross between a vampire, a pig, and Jay-Z. And as you’ll see from this recently leaked, behind-the-scenes featurette, a great deal of effort went into making this pilot, and this show looked exactly as insane as it sounds.

It also looked kind of amazing? I mean, I’m pretty sure I saw some full-frontal, male puppet nudity there for a second. And check out Peanut, the ghetto queen puppet, and the way she blows weed smoke into the face of her infant child, then dismisses Kanye with a sassy flick of her puppet head. Basically, a hip-hop Muppet Show is something I have always really, really wanted, and didn’t even realize it.

Sadly, though, Alligator Boots never made it to air, because while Kanye is THE BEST! IN THE WORLD! EVER!, he still doesn’t have his own TV network, like Oprah does. Someone please remedy that.

I so would have watched this. I listen to Rhymefest and Kanye West quite a lot, and find them relatively funny guys. This looks like it could've been fun.

It needs a new name, also it needs Dave Chappelle and Donald Glover.

Kanye is overrated. But this show could have made it on TV for a couple of seasons.

I could see this being a difficult fit. There's not many network that it would work on (basically a few cable networks) and it really can't be sold as a Muppet show because the Muppets have a family friendly reputation.
