Fox Announces Its Fall 2012-2013 Premiere Dates

L.A. Reid, Demi Lovato, zombie Britney Spears, and Simon Cowell judge you, America.

It's June 18, which means it's the perfect time to announce the premiere dates for shows that won't start until well into September (you know, in case you needed something to think about over the summer). Fox actually announced what shows were going where back in May as part of its annual Upfront presentation, but today it nailed down the specific when.

There's not much unusual here (unlike NBC's Olympics-boosted early start). Fox's fall season begins in the traditional mid-September launch zone, with the revamped The X Factor going back-to-back on the September 12 and 13 for a double dose of Britney Spears' awkward attempts at judging talent. Glee will also make its Thursday debut, with its season premiere debuting on September 13, immediately after The X Factor.

Bones and new series The Mob Doctor are the only premieres the following week, and things start really coming out in late September, with a pair of New Girls launching the network's new Tuesday comedy block on September 25, Fringe's final season starting September 28, and Animation Domination returning September 30.

Got that? Well if not, here's Fox's Fall 2012-2013 schedule, in easy-to-read form:

FRINGE!!

Touch, Bones

That is one pitiful looking judging panel on that show that I have never, ever, ever never watched. Zombie Spears is right...

Touch is like a serious version of Wonderfalls.

'Touch' and 'Fringe' do have some similarities, so I think putting them back to back is a good combination. I'm just bummed that 'Fringe' will only have 13 episodes this time.

Only show I crave for is Fringe, Bones is ok but growing old en Zooey is cute but boring.

Once Fringe is gone, they can bag Fox, for all I care

bones and touch , really what's wrong with fox why they are starting touch so late , i think its writers can't make full story for approx 22 episodes , it looked really great they should work on it properly

The end of October for Touch? Come on Fox, what are you doing? That's too far away.

Yup, I have better things to do with my time than devote it to Fox and their inane shows.

"Fringe" is the only one for me, along with "Touch". Saturday to Thursday will be spent

on another network. I used to like "Bones", but for being the world's so called 'smartest'

woman, I sure would not want her among my friends: she is clueless to the real world.

Whoa Bob's Burgers starts in the fall this year? Are they getting a full season treatment like the rest of Animation Domination? that would be fun!

What's up with New Girl? Is there a new episode BEFORE the season premiere? Whatever.

Yay Fringe.

Typically no. That's why the season premiere is called the season PREMIERE.

DJ8 was referring to this mess:

8:00-8:30 PM New Girl (Special All-New Episode)

8:30-9:00 PM BEN AND KATE (Series Premiere)

9:00-9:30 PM New Girl (Season Premiere)

What is the significance of the Special All-New Episode that airs prior to the season premiere? I'd like to know as well. Is it one of those stupid "Here's what you missed compilation episodes?"

You know I'm pretty sure a chimpanzee could throw darts at a board and come up with a better lineup than this. Once Fringe is gone FOX is in a world of crap. I would almost feel sorry for them if I still didn't have hatred for them for cancelling Firefly and Tru Calling.

FRINGE!!!!!!! September 28 can't come soon enough. I'm also looking forward to The Simpsons' premier. Especially since, while still not up to the standards of the level of the classics, and there were some weaker episodes mixed in ("Lisa Goes Gaga"), this past season was surprisingly strong overall. I'm not as excited by Touch, and in fact will have to decide whether or not it's worth continuing with. There were some good episodes, and interesting storylines, but the season as a whole got a bit repetitive. I guess a big part of my decision will be if it conflicts with another, better show. Also, since I watch it with my dad, I'll obviously have to see what he thinks.

Though I have never seen the show, curiosity got the best of me and I actually attended a free taping of The X-Factor in the Bay Area this past weekend. That photo might have been from the taping I was at, unless they wore the same clothes to each taping, where they did two shows each of the three days were here, because I remember Britney wearing the same thing and Simon, well, I guess he only wears white shirts.

There are a couple of things I got from the show I attended:

1) Though I am not familiar with Demi Lovato, only having heard her new song that is on the radio now, she actually is a pretty good judge. Good as in I agreed with her opinions of the singers more than the others, even Simon Cowell. She was seated next to Simon and she held up pretty well against him.

2) Britney Spears is going to be a train wreck. She has no confidence in giving her opinion. She kept deferring her opinion of a singer to Demi in order to see what the other judges thought. And then the few times she actually gave an opinion of a singer that differed from the other judges she would do a 180 and vote along with them. I don't even know if she'll make it just this one season as a judge.

I'm gonna go ahead and take it as a personal insult that Fox decided to air two of it's worst monstrosities on my birthday. Thanks a lot guys.

Why is a "special all-new episode" of New Girl come on before the "season premiere"? I'm curious.

102 days, 2448 hours, 146,880 minutes, 8,812,800 seconds ...

That's how long we have to wait for the final season premier of Fringe. Not that I'm counting or anything.

why are Fringe, Ben and Kate, New Girl, and The Mindy Project on there twice? could really leave those off the the 2nd time since nothing's changed time or days

So much boring crap on that list. The only thing I'm interested in is Fringe.

I will check out The mob doctor as well, but I doubt that they will be able to keep the concept interesting for a whole season.

I like the cast of the Following, but I have no idea what it is. Don't be a procedural, please.

GAwd I was just thinking the same thing too.

Fox looking worse than the CW. Ugly, ugly line up with hardly anything worth watching.

Jeez, Britney looks like hell in that photo, is that an official Fox PR photo? Her eyes look so tired and her expression is that of a brainwashed cult victim. Maybe she's trying to signal to America that they too will look like this after viewing the all new X-Factor.

Why is it that The Simpsons, Bob's Burgers, and all the animation except Cleveland are listed twice?

On Oct. 7th The cleaveland show will be airing it's first episode as opposed to the rest which will do so, a week earlier. As for your comments on Britney, I agree

How did Bones get another season? Also that pic just looks creepy.

I found Bones a lot of fun in the beginning. But quit in season 4 to return a year later thinking it couldn't have been that bad. A few episodes into season 5 I quit again when they solved a murder through a topographic map of smaller stones in a park.. Haven't watched it since.
