Fox Cancels I Wanna Marry Harry and Riot

The wedding is off! Improv class is canceled! Fox has axed its new summer reality shows I Wanna Marry Harry and Riot, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Beginning next week, the shows' Tuesday-night time slots will be filled with repeats of Fox comedies, including Family Guy, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, New Girl, and The Mindy Project.

I Wanna Marry Harry was about a group of American women competing to date a man they were duped into thinking was Prince Harry. If you're dying to find out who "Harry" ends up with, the remaining episodes of the series are available to stream on Fox.com and On Demand.

Riot was executive-produced by Steve Carell and featured celebrities participating in a mix of improv and obstacles.

Will you miss either series?

Haha... This is the first time I have seen a complete unanimous vote of approval in comments section for a "cancelled show" thread.....Seriously, a competition to marry some who (doesn't) look like Harry? How low can we get....!!

Riot was tolerable, but I Wanna Marry Harry was almost insulting to watch. The guy didn't even look like Harry up close! The women on the show had to be either blind or monumentally stupid to not see that this guy was an imposter,

Haha! UK network ITV just forked out for I Wanna Marry Harry, serves them right for buying an obviously terrible show.

Well, it might actually work over there. It pokes fun at the royals as well as all Americans.

It doesn't work over here, it's still terrible.

The world's iq got just a little higher by cancelling that brain cell killing concept show "I wanna Marry Harry" I never even watched it but I just knew what sort of tripe it would be

I hadn't heard of riot until I saw it swinging by in the hulu just added preview. the celebrities were david arquette and someone I hadn't heard of. I gave all of "coming up on riot" before turning it off. it looked like a mess of a show and I love arquette and seeing him on hollywood game night would be cool but as far as celebrities go riot was no competition if we were to compare it with hollywood game night.

and I don't do run-of-the-mill reality TV (or any reality tv that I can think of) so I wanna marry harry was a nonstarter.

I Want To Marry Harry looked so bad from the previews that I had zero interest in watching it. I'm not the least bit surprised it flopped.

Riot was unbelievably bad, I tried to sit through the first one and we turned it off after 2 minutes. I watched the entirety of the Andy Dick/Tom Green episode and it was unbearable, it was like mental diarrhea. The problem is that the format feels very half-baked and aimless, like a big stagey wannabe Whose Line with physical gimmicks thrown in and sense thrown out.

WHAT? HOW DARE THEY CANCEL SHOWS THAT I DIDN'T KNOW WERE ON THE AIR?

Hey, reruns of B99 means it might pick up more viewers when it's back. We all know that awards mean f**k all.

I'm glad Fox showed some sense and axed that dumb fake Harry dating show. As for Riot, I'd never even heard of it.

The show shouldn't have been ordered in the first place. Fox cancelled it because of horrendous ratings, not because sense as you put it.

I guess Fox isn't totally filled with idiots, surprised it took them this long to cancel IWMH.. Riot didn't seem like it'd be THAT bad, but I never had any interest in it.
