One of the surprising players in providing late-night talk-show viral videos over the past year was Fox's Talk Show With Spike Feresten, a largely under-the-radar late-night filler that just seemed to be hitting its stride. Don't expect any more Lil' Bill O'Reilly video clips in your e-mail box though; Fox just cancelled Talk Show.
Fox is retooling its late-night Saturday night, and those plans do not involve Spike Feresten, says Broadcasting & Cable. It was already announced that MadTV--which ran from 11 p.m. to midnight on Saturdays--was ending its run this season, and the removal of Talk Show leaves things wide open for Rupert Murdoch's network.
Filling the 11 p.m. hour will be a new talk show from The New Adventures of Old Christine's Wanda Sykes. That program is due out sometime next fall.
Are you going to miss Talk Show With Spike Feresten and its sketches Lil' Bill O'Reilly, Comedy for Stoners, or Girl's Fathers Gone Wild?

Is another talk show really necessary?
Never even heard of it...
Never saw it

I bet Wanda Sykes' show will be totally gay Whoops, not supposed to say that.
I saw the show two or three times when I was sick, but on average I am not even home to watch it when it airs... Thats party time!!!
While I didn't watch every week, when I did it was great. This is truly a big loss. I thought Fox has positioning this to replace MadTV? As for Wanda Sykes' show, it probably won't last as long as Chevy Chase's late night show.
Can't say that I every watched it. But Wanda I might.
