Fox wants more Truthiness

Fox has never been one to shy away from what works, and that trend is continuing. The network today announced that it has ordered 13 more episodes of The Moment of Truth, the surprising new hit of the season.

Truth is a game show based on Columbia's Nothing But the Truth, and debuted late last month. In the show, a man asks contestants a series of increasingly embarrassing questions. The catch? The contestants are strapped to a lie detector.

The more questions the contestant answers truthfully (according to the polygraph test, anyway), the more cash--up to $500,000--they can win. The show is hosted by Mark L. Walberg.

According to Fox, The Moment of Truth is this season's third-highest-rated program, behind only American Idol.

The Moment of Truth airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m., and will move up to 8 p.m. after March 5.

Most of the questions are merely embarrassing, which most people should have no problem answering truthfully for thousands of dollars. Also, the draaaawn out dramatic pauses between contestants' answers, as well as the lie detector responses, really get annoying.

Might just be the stupidest thing I have ever seen. . . . . .ever.

More then likely its fake anyway. How many people would really go on there and answer questions like they ask just for a little bit of cash. And if its not fake why in the world would you want to go on there and problem ruin your life with your family and friends.

I agree you can panic while telling the truth which makes the lie detector hard to believe.

If you ask me, it doesn't work either. As that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard of!

I really don't believe the lie detector thing works and this show is real grimey and personal so I guess they are giving the people what they want
