Friday Afternoon Distractions

Whiling away your last few hours at work? These videos should help make time fly extra fast!

It's not the latest from Justin Bieber or Taylor Swift that the cool kids are listening to these days, but 10-year-old Willow Smith's Whip My Hair.

Currently a hot favourite in the US, high-flying comedy and music stars are paying homage to her left, right and centre -- including Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen as seen in this clip (or rather, Jimmy Fallon doing his very best Neil Young impression!)

Technology is part of our everyday lives and advertising is at the forefront of the trend. This advert for a new Ralph Lauren campaign, premiering in New York and London, creates an immersive experience with the designers incorporating the building's physical form. Definitely go full screen and turn the volume up to get the most out of it!

This week, our usual "cute animals" component is brought to you by the Bayou, home of True Blood. And it ain't cute.

This week saw the debut performance of a new performing arts spectacle on Sydney's harbour. For one afternoon only, the Opera House steps were adorned with drag queens and enough sparkly Kylie and Dannii Minogue tunes to keep the dance clubs going for week.

We were there, and so was Modern Family's Cameron (Eric Stonestreet). Can you spot us?!

News broadcasts are all about timing and careful logistical management. It really is the ultimate 'wait for it, wait for it' moment -- that they forgot to wait for. Fail!

Michael Jackson's 'new' (posthumous) single was launched this week -- and it's quite an unnerving prospect in the face of his, well, you know, death. The duet with R&B; crooner Akon looks set to be a big hit.

From a happier time, in preparation for his world tour, his marketing team roped in the inmates at an infamous Filipino jail to pay tribute to Jackson's legendary choreography. Tragic that he never got to perform it live himself.
