Friday Afternoon Distractions

Whiling away your last few hours at work? These videos should help make time fly extra fast!

The most disturbing Simpsons parody ever? Someone at Hustler must have a really warped sense of humour because we just found this creepy. Despite the XXX title, this trailer is pretty SFW... we're not prudes but we're definitely not rushing out to get this DVD!

Continuing the trend of "this is just wrong", next we bring you Ricky Martin's latest video "The Best Thing About Me Is You." In our opinion, neither the song nor the video is "the best thing", but it could quite possibly be the worst!

Toning things down a bit, Tourism New Zealand has updated it's slogan from "100% Pure" to "100% Pure You" and launched a new ad campaign featuring people (presumably just like you) gushing about their amazing holiday adventures in the Land of the Long White Cloud. "My boy on a bridge" is as schmaltzy as the rest of the TV spots which include horse riding and jet boating -- perhaps our neighbours wanted to avoid the controversial banned Australian tourism ad "Where the bloody hell are you?"

The Scroll Wheel. This one really hits home -- if you're like us, you'll find this hilarious and be thinking "it's so true!" but if you are one of the people who actually do this, please stop! Please?

Top-ranked British tennis champ Andy Murray hits Rod Laver Arena for a practice session ahead of the 2011 Australian Open which starts on Monday. We hope the 2010 runner-up does at least as well as last year!

A very cute, very cool animation about the fictional history behind Photoshop. Aniboom, you rock!

And finally, much of the world will be aware of the devastating floods that Queensland is currently battling. This is not a "distraction" per se, but if you're not glued to your TV or one of the 2.3 million people who have already watched this amateur clip, it'll definitely open your eyes to the scale of this disaster that's been likened to Hurricane Katrina and the 2004 tsunami off Indonesia. If you can help in any way, they really need it.
